What compilation? Scramble is listed as "Gradius Zero" in the intro of Gradius Galaxies on the GBA, and also on the Gradius V bonus DVD. It's not in the PSP collection, but nor are about 20 other Gradius games...

My dad got a kick out of the front cover, he used to love Track and Field :P
A good issue, the Konami feature in particular was an interesting read.

Can't say it convinced me to think any better of Alex Kidd though :P (though it was good that the article did point out its flaws!)

And an interview with Yu Suzuki next issue eh? Kick ass :D

The magazine is published every 4 weeks not every month, so it will appear to be released earlier and earlier each month...

Great issue so far, up to page 66 and loving it, particularly pleased about the Konami article and looking forward to next months part, Super Contra was 1988 though I think not 1986. Pleased to see Shaolins Road is up there, I have to step up my hunt for a Konami Classic adpater so I can play my pcb of it on my cab rather than in Mame.
WANTED: Mario Party 3 on N64 (just the Box only) ANY SNES GAMES, OR EMPTY SNES BOXES, INSTRUCTION MANUALS or WHITE INNER TRAYS.

Awesome issue as always :) ... With the Konami feature, Time Pilot '84 was missing... a really superb game in the series. Recommend it if no-one's played it.

Also I liked Jail Break too, even if I wanted to smash the screen in because it was bloody hard.

I think Shaolin's Road is an appalling game, no redeeming quality to it at all. Likewise I love Tutankham so was horrified to see it in the other section...

Shaolin's Road is wonderful, and Tutankham is rubbish. On the other hand, Jail Break is splendid, so I think we can all agree that the author is pretty much wrong about everything...

More seriously, it was extremely irritating to see the piece contradict things which have already appeared in RG, properly researched and correct, and re-introduce inaccurate and unnecessary doubt about them.

i won't be getting my hands on the issue till next weekend probably, was excited that konami was to feature heavily, was it as borked as the above quote suggests?

if so - godamnit to hell

Another great issue. I love being a subscriber and not have to worry about how and when I get my issue.

Someone mentioned that they skipped over the Star Wars pages. I admit that last issue's was enough and I too skipped over the Star Wars stuff.

I LOVE Boulderdash, but 10 pages on the same game is, in my opinion, a little too much.

Denton Designs stuff was fab and it would be great to have loads more of this stuff.

Richard's 'Back to the...' features are the BEST :-) You should do a special issue of just these ;)

A suggestion: how about interviewing retro programmers of today? People like Jon Wells, Jason Kelk, Richard Bayliss, Bob Smith, Jonathan Cauldwell, Kevin Thacker, Georg Rottensteiner... these people are still bashing them out and living the dream.

Keep up the good work.

Darran and i have talked about expanding the homebrew section by a couple of pages, but neither of us were entirely sure it would be popular. i'd like to see a news / coming soon page (half a page for each) but i expect having an odd number of pages would be problematic...

Yeah... I heard that too :)

I would welcome more Homebrew content. How about a reader's poll?

the mag is great as it is.
i think long winded articles that go on for 2 or 3 issues get a bit boring
i think u should go more into the retro inspections
i like the assembler article ages ago things like that are great

people should stop moaning and enjoy it
