Hi Helen,
Yes what a gift - it must be love, as if I don't spend enough time locked away with old computers.
Thank you.PZ

Issue 100

Hi guys

Just to let you know issue 100 has been mailed out to you all BUT it has mailed a little later than normal :(

I am really sorry that this means there will be a delay in you receiving your copies - UK subscribers you should receive yours from tomorrow (Royal Mail dependent of course) and outside the UK your copies should be with you over the next week or so.

It is however a bumper issue to celebrate the 100th issue so hopefully that will go someway to make up for the delay :D

Of course any issues or questions regarding your subscription please do let me know and again I am truly very sorry about the delay to your delivery

thanks

Lucy

Good news - I've just received my subscriber copy of Issue 100 so UK subscribers you should be receiving yours today hopefully! And subscribers outside the UK hopefully it won't be too much longer...

I know this is still far later than it should be and I really am sorry . As always, feel free to contact me with any queries/issues/problems.

Enjoy the bumper read this month :)

I also received my subscriber copy today, it seemed about the normal timescale for receiving an issue to me. :)

No problems there then... however the Royal Mail ensured it arrived in poor condition again (this is actually the worst condition subscriber issue I've received - and I've had a few gnarly ones!). Aside from some really heavy zings/bashes I'm scratching my head and wondering how the heck they managed to give it a large 'dogear' on the front cover through the polythene? Anyway, given that this is the bumper anniversary issue I'm a little gutted. :( I guess I'll be scouring the shelves of WHSmith on Saturday for a replacement.

It's strange, I occasionally receive University Alumni magazines and these are posted in similar clear polythene mailers and always arrive in reasonable condition. Bah... The Royal Mail, I hate 'em.

Hi FujiHunter

Yay for delivery but boo for damages from Royal Mail - I've PM'd you on this. Has anyone else had issues with their delivery this month? My 2 subs deliveries (office and home) have arrived pristene so I'm keen to hear from anyone who is having postie problems elsewhere in the country.

thanks

Yeah, the outer sleeve on mine had a 8-10cm tear (actually more like a cut, it was that clean), but it's the first real problem I've had...and in this case, didn't matter given there was another sleeve on the mag. Northern posties obviously handle with care...

Out of interest, do you get the subs just as a test, or do you actually read the mag?

PM and email sent.

On a side note as to damages with mail, one way that could be resolved is by shipping them in the bubble wrap envelopes.
For late deliveries like myself, I would appreciate a better option because regular mail doesn't cut it and now I understand why they are going out of business here in the US.
Perhaps Fedex or UPS? Not sure if that would up the cost of subs or by how much.

I wouldn't worry about deliver speed for replacement or special order issues. I had a replacement sent out for a missing issue about 6 months ago and it shipped from the UK to the US in less than a week.
