The easiest answer in the world: Scud Race aka Sega Super GT [Video]! This racer is pure awesomeness and the best arcade racer ever created. After a long period of AAA racer (Virtua Racing, Daytona USA and Sega Rally), Scud Race is the edge of arcade racing or not so say the ultimate arcade experience for arcade enthusiasts. The 4-Player-Cabinet was perfect. It's a shame that we could only get a "simplified" version over OutRun2 (Xbox) but better than nothing, that's for sure... Second to Scud Race is of course Daytona 2. ;)

Outrun 2 is clearly the best game, but for a young pup being fortunate to grow up near the arcades of Southend, the full hydraulic Space Harrier still has a special place. They only got rid of it recently, 7 credits for a pound. Bliss. Never completed it though.

SCRAP THAT......... It's the original Outrun, all the way. Magical Sound Shower, hydraulics, game that lasted longer than a minute..... Perfect

I'm gonna go with Afterburner! Stomach-churningly fast, and has the coolest sit-down cabinet ever!

Definitely Sega Rally. Easily the most thrilling arcade racer due to the perfect (i.e. powerful and responsive) force feedback.

Afterburner rotating cabinet. I think that was the first arcade game to truly amaze me as a kid.

Well only two games for this imo, Space Harrier and Outrun. Space Harrier has a very special place in my heart and the wonderful memories of sitting in the hydraulic version at the ammusments in Blackpool being thrown left and right with the wind blowing across my back through the doors giving me that arcade moment which i haven't forgot to this day, But............. it has to be Outrun, a game which was so far ahead of it's time at the time.
I,m gonna live forever or die trying!

Shinobi for me. I lost count how many times I played this game on the arcades. Those were the days people, they don't make games like them anymore.

Outrun - but the sit down version. I lived in Southend and my parents would occasionally take me down the seafront which was full of arcades. I remember there being a sit down cabinet in the first arcade on the seafront which was marked as 30p a go, but the machine only actually charged 20p a go. I am not sure if the arcade knew this, but I played Outrun the most in that arcade as a result!

I was going to go with Outrun (especially in the full sized car-cab which was amazing!)....but then I remembered how many hours I played on Wonderboy in Monster Land. After careful consideration I not only select this as my fave, but am now likely to be late for work as I'm firing up MAME to play it again.

Without a shadow of a doubt it has to be the original Wonder boy.

I have loved this game ever since I saw it for the 1st time as a 12 year old (1987) in the Yeti arcade, Spain, Tossa De Mar.

It has remained one of my most favorite Score attack games along with Ghost's N Goblins.

Love all the Colour, Music, sound effects and Game play. I cant stop playing this on Mame at the moment a Classic Game.

Oh my how do I narrow it down to just one game? There are so many classics in the back catalogue, definitely Afterburner... no Sega Rally... actually it's Shinobi. I can categorically say it's really not Moonwalker.
