Was the print moved closer to the spine in this issue? I seem to have to push it more open to read the text.

Still no sign of mine. :(

Daz, any chance you could give the subs manager a shout to check it out for me? I did mail her a few days ago.

Finally arrived today, almost a week after the street date. This is unsatisfactory. If I privately mail something from the UK to Germany it's usually there in about 4 days. Yet, we subs get the mag about 10 days later than the UK subs. The only reason for this I can think of is that someone made the incredibly idiotic decision to ship international subs last. I'll have to check if there's a postal stamp with the shipping date or something on mine.

For comparison, I received my issue on Friday (U.S. Subscriber)

Well that's just ridiculous then. There's no reason on earth why it should take 3 work days longer to Germany than to the US. And I know other German subs got it as late as I did. Something's wrong with the actual process of mailing them out.

I just checked my bag but it does not mention a shipping date. Only suspicious thing is the fact that they seem to be shipped to the Netherlands first and then on to Germany.

Just finished reading this months issue the other night and decided some major feedback was in order:

Al Alcorn interview - what a cool guy! Full of uncensored episodes from way back when and a dab hand at creative swearing to boot! Wouldn't have minded if this had been twice the page count.

Heimdall and Black Lamp reviews - really interested to read about these as my knowledge of Amiga and ST games is practically non-existant.

Donkey Kong Country feature - this managed to seem really fresh, loved the interesting asides scattered throughout the article.

Primal Rage making of - very nice piece, especially the descriptions of the various complicated techniques used to bring together the graphics.

Obscura Machina - great new section, more of this please. :)

Radical Software piece - great article, solidly researched and really well written, left me feeling a little sad for the guy behind the company.

Harvest Moon - really wasn't expecting to like this but loved every word of it, the guy in charge of the game's production just has such an interesting approach to design.

Unconverted - great as always, had never heard of Edward Randy before but it's now on my must play list.

Coin-op capers - more interesting stuff, especially the conversion comparison and the interview with the one time world champion.

All told, another triumphant issue. :D
