Enjoyed the Licence To Kill feature as well.Living Daylights was the last ever A8 Bit game i ever bought. (Seem to recal it missing a level or 2 from the Atari User Preview).Loved Licence to kill on the C64, Goldeneye on N64 was amazing at the time, Had the duel on MD, other games featured on various systems, so plenty there for myself.Homebrew:Attempt to convert Dungeon Master to A8..Woah!.Liitle snippets like that are what make the homebrew section for myself.

Had a read of it this morning and quite liked it. Bit too much of this nintendo stuff for my liking. Enjoyed the article on Radical Software and a few other features.

The Anita calculator? Sure, the 5318008 game is good fun, but what other games can be included in a top 10?

Let's just say we won't be doing an After Burner cover ;)

Anyhoo Chip Tune, please don't have a go at other forum members. They're well within their rights to complain about anything in the magazine they're not happy about. It's a feedback thread after all.

Although there won't be a seasonal theme to the next issue (I can't really think of anything else Christmas related we could do) it's usually the issue where we try and include all the coverage that people have been asking for. As a result you'll be getting more amiga coverage, more PC coverage and a few other bits and bobs that people have been requesting in the improve the magazine thread.

Cool. I was considering whether to ask for a bit more of those two platforms in particular as my general impression is that it has been a little light of late. Now I needn't bother, all I can say is that I'm looking forward to the coverage.

More Amiga coverage. More PC coverage. Damn legend, this is brilliant.

Now all I could want is an Afterburner cover - come on peeps admit it, that game was *pure* genius. Given, all you needed to do was stick a brick on the joystick whilst you went off with your mates for the weekend then you'd suddenly come home and realised you'd clocked Afterburner but that is beside the point. The game was utter genius. I will debate anyone about that, anytime.

17% in Zzap! my ar#e it deserved at least 22, maybe 23%, at the very least.

Well there you go. It was released on the C64. It never stood a chance.

Nobody will destroy my wonderful memories of that game, nobody. Even if, technically, it wasnt me playing the game at the time.

My there's some angry people on this forum... why do people think that you have to give mouthfuls of swearing and abuse to people who disagree with one element of the magazine. Perhaps we should set up an 'I agree with everything the magazine says and anyone who doesn't can f**k off!' thread and then these people can just post there, and stay out of the more reasonable forum members way.

I quite liked the magazine this month, although there is content about things I have no real interest in - Donkey Kong Country, Primal Rage, the software company whose name I have currently forgotten. As ever I will read it all though.

James Bond article was excellent, also Donkey Kong conversions etc very entertaining. Also looking forward to reading about C64 GS and the software protection stuff.

Next month doesn't really sound like my sort of mag if its all PC and Amiga stuff, but you never know. Either way it'll be a good read and as ever I'll learn something about a game or machine I know little about. That's why Darran is a great editor, because he doesn't pander to one particular type of retro gamer... if I was editor the whole magazine would be about the Atari VCS, ZX81, ZX Spectrum, the Vectrex and the Atari 8 bit range every month of the year. But it would be a worse magazine for it.

No. Just no. I can't agree to that or let it pass.

Have all records of Atari been wiped from the history books?

The covers have been quite nintendo heavy lately - but so what....

I have to agree with the earlier comment - find something constructive to censored about.....

The magazine is superb and every issue MUST have something popular and something obscure

Darren take the criticism on board but dont change for the few noisy gets who wouldnt be happy unless it was gold plated and given away free....

 stupid gets

Another simpleton who doesn't quite understand the feedback thread.....

Exactly. If people bothered to READ the thread they'd discover that Nintendo being in the mag ISN'T the problem, it's that Nintendo featuring SO HEAVILY in the mag IN THREE CONSECUTIVE ISSUES has non-Nintendo fans wondering if they should bother getting a mag that covers subject THEY ARE NOT INTERESTED IN and are relating this to the RG team.

(Use of caps is to try and make things clear to those who don't seem to be getting it. )

Have we found out Chiptune's secret identity?

Totally agree ! Think we know who this 'controversial' person from Bristol is ! Thought he was banned last time ?

Anyway the mag was waiting for me when i came back. I dont mind the Rare/Nintendo stuff, yeah theres been a fair bit lately but i dont personally mind, still plenty of other stuff for me to read. 'Dont copy that floppy' was an interesting read, specially the QA with Gary Bracey who didnt seem to think piracy was the problem. Enjoyed the James Bond article also.

Looking forward to the Xmas issue i must admit!
