Hoi! What's with all this newish console stuff!
It was discontinued here (UK) in 2002 thus not fulfilling the mags "10 year rule"!!!!

ps none of them, as was mentioned earlier............kid's machine ;)

pps go on then, Mario 64 - stunning!

Wave Race 64, water effects and bright nintendoy colours & atmosphere. The Cube sequel Bluestrorm was a big dissapointment.

What's your favourite N64 game?

outside of the usual suspects i had a lot of fun with Space Station Silicon Valley. Almost felt like smaller self contained Paradroid-esque action/puzzler.

With everything included it was Goldeneye or ISS Soccer.

It's a completely unoriginal thing to say, but The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was (and still is) an epic combination of game and story.

The console historically took Mario into 3D (then beat him at his own kart-racing genre with Diddy Kong Racing); it also gave us some amazing multiplayer experiences; but it was taking Zelda into 3D, then having Link actually grow up in-game that'll always be remembered by gamers the world over.

Genuine thought. Wasn't the ten year rule to do with the start of the consoles life and not the end? Hence people considering the DC retro.

Ten year rule? That would make the last gen retro - PS2, GC, Xbox, GBA - the lot!

Yes but only as a future classic section which is a damn good idea for systems in limbo.

Body Harvest....Alright, so it was slow and clunky, but the idea was sound! I really want Rockstar North to work something out with Nintendo and do a sequel to this! GTA meets Earth Defense Force!

I only own 2 N64 games: Mario 64 and Superman. Unsurprisingly, I prefer Mario 64!

That's a tough one. The game that sold the system for me was Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I just had to have this game, and when I got it, I knew I couldn't rest until I defeated Ganon.

Zelda Ocarina of Time.. all I do in it is wander around the village throwing rocks all over the place and making a silly whooping noise at the same time... marvellous!

Boring choice - but for me it has to be Mario 64. Perfect gameplay.

So many great games. I probably spent the most time on goldeneye, but I think my favorite was pilotwings 64. Blast corp was great fun as well.
