Thanks to everyone who enjoyed the Atari Inc. feature, it was a pleasure writing it - though hard to sum up everything in 6 pages. Make sure and read part 2 next month which covers Jack Tramiel's Atari Corporation.

Really looking forward to that!

I am a bit of an Atari history buff myself but absolutely love reading your work Marty.

The plan was to initially devote a spread to each game (allowing for better detailed shots of the board)

Sorry, not for me. I'm glad you didn't go with the original plan as there was already enough pages wasted on it.
I don't mind its inclusion in principle, but it could've been covered in 1 page.

I liked the board game feature-Arcade magazine used to look at board and table top games so nice to see something like this pop back up.

Then you had videogames which worked in tandem with the board game, thinking Tank Attack (think that's what it was called) on C64.Might well have been others.

Tank Attack, Brian Clough's Football Fortunes, and (featured in my C64 collecting piece) Oil Barons spring to mind on the C64...

I used to have a pirate copy of Tank Attack on my C64. It was completely pointless to play without the boardgame.
Ken sent me.

If you've got enough people to make it worthwhile, and they are into that sort of thing. Like BCFF, you do all the stuff on the board, and then the computer calculates all the ins and outs of your decisions. When I bought my copy, the shipping was more than the cost of the game, it's a bit heavy!

BCFF was my most played game on the Electron, a little predictable after a while, but fun none the less!

Personally a piece on video games featuring a board/Board games as a video game would be welcome.

It's not an exact science, but if I had a gun to my head I'd go for between next Friday (the 9th) and the following Monday (the 12th).

Finally finished reading through my copy, and have to say I enjoyed it a lot! I liked the boardgame feature, and I had just been thinking that it might be a good idea for Retrogamer to cover other things like board games, or play by mail or Fighting Fantasy gamebooks and the like! It never really specified that it was specific to Videogames did it? And these are retro games!

Nice to see some love for Rastan too, as I mentioned before it's one of my faves! But again, I have to say that I don't like the new shortened letters page much...just not enough of it! Other than that everything else was fine!!

Oh, apart from at least one use of "could of" instead of "could've".....that always riles me up, as could of makes no sense at all.....
