I got one, the number crunching bit says they bought Imagine in 1994, surely should be 1984?

only my second issue I've bought and again it's looking great.

The BBC bit caught my eye as my older brother had one and I was occasionally allowed to have a play on it. Looking forward to showing him it when he visits.

I also really enjoyed reading the BBC bit, here it was Apple IIe's all over the schools and one computer system I really dont know much about is the BBC so it was fun to read. I'll have to find an emulator somewhere, Ive never played a game on it.

i havent gone throught all the feedback nor do i usually point out (or find) errors but one was the misspelling of Rik Mayall. Now i dont care if there are factual errors, or even if i receive my magazine entitled "Rettro Gammerz", you simply DONT mess about with the late, great Rik Mayall. Or if he isn't dead then simply Rik Mayall. And apologies. But I probably should have first presumed he wasn't dead first and I don't know why i did that.

Yep. The other minor error is with Rambo: First Blood Part II being listed twice on page 63.

OMG - is there any chance a new thread could be started for error geeks? It's a feedback thread full to the brim with nit picking....... (although obviously some bits may be true, but they all seem to be a joke now!).

Like psj used to say when he was still here, we need a Train Spotter Awards thread to be started!

Unless the point of having a Feedback sub-forum is solely to praise things that is.

I think RG should probably consider eliminating one of the current sections and introducing a new one that deals primarily with the errors of the previous edition.

Still haven't got round to reading issue 101, but I'm almost there with 100, so it'll be soon. Based on the contents of this thread, I look forward to getting more and more angry with every turn of the page.

But seriously, how can someone moan that a UK mag is UK-centric?

No idea. Especially as its got a lot less UK-centric lately with all the Nintendo coverage.

Here we go again, "all the Nontendo coverage"

All I'm saying is that the mag has a nice balance of articles, but if some people had their way it would be cover to cover Spectrum.

What do you mean "here we go again" :?

Sheesh, I was actually pointing that it is balanced for the most part

Sorry, I interpreted your post as a moan that being less UK centric was a bad thing.

One of my favourite machines is the PC Engine / TurboGrafx which never gets enough love in RG and was a massive success in Japan and did ok in the US. It only got a limited release in the UK.

I have also seen very little Atari 7800 coverage in the magazine, a machine that sold nearly 4 million in the US (twice that of the Master System) and did pretty well in Europe too as a budget machine.

So given both those points I think the mag would be even better if it was less UK-centric at times. As long as it stays away from revisionist history like the recent NES article and maintains a nice balance, which I think it has recently more so than ever.

The one fly in the ointment excepted issue 101 is bloody marvellous, imho.
