New Site information

Postby Darran@Retro Gamer on Fri May 15, 2009 9:54 am

Hi guys, just to let you know that we're now deleting the duplicates that have started cropping up and should hopefully have the issue rectified by the end of the week. We're also going to make sure that the section is updated more regularly so that 10+ articles don't go up at a single time. Apologies for the slackness, we'll double our efforts to make sure so many duplicates don't slip through.

To double check though, if you are unsure if something is already up, make sure you click the green button next to the seach box and don't press enter, that way you'll be able to find everything from the main front page.

Kindest regards,
Darran

Thank you, that sounds like good news.

I'm glad the Website is still being cared for, it really is a great resource you have created.

Ditto, I thought it was such a good idea, shame to abandon it. My Mega Man: The Wily Wars review's gone, but that's good, shows that some maintenance is going on. Good thing I saved a copy of it on my hard drive, maybe I'll do my own website one day...

Good show. For your next admin task could you go through all my entries and sort out any typos, grammar mistakes, factual inaccuracies and misfiring jokes to make me look better? Maybe improve the odd screenshot while you're at it.

Right well I've nearly changed all the duplicates now :)

In the case of The Terminator they are actually for different formats, which is fine. I've also changed others to different formats so that they can stay up (providing it's applicable of course.

As for the grammer and photo requests that's unlikely to happen as I'm sure you'd rather have a magazine to read each month ;)

You will also notice that we have begun accepting more "Featured Retrobates" to the academy to recognise excellence in the field of adding entertaining new profiles to the website.

And prizes for the best/most profiles will be added soon too.

Enjoy!
