Most of the retro gaming videos you'll find on youtube are speedruns.

It is a shame, I don't know of any other games that can be completed so quickly, especially as there are no shortcuts.

I only remember 3 of them - Pit Fighter, Barbarian and Ye-ar Kung-fu. Pah! Pathetic! (it has to be said some of those looked pretty crappy - so I don't think I missed a great deal :D )

Yes it truly is massive. It was so big that my copy of the game came with a printed out map of the overworld. This guy takes a few shortcuts as you will be able to see ;) .

It might seem like a long video but I've watched it over 3 times. My mouth hangs open at his ease with defeating the bosses.

I found these two sites pretty good for speed walkthroughs of games, especially the DOOM and Halflife videos, they're sickeningly good:

You have to bear in mind there's 3 types of speedrun.

1) Live.

2) Recorded and re-recorded but never containing anything you couldn't theoretically do live if you played a perfect game.

3) Complete fiction taking advantage of bugs.

All have their merits but you have to know which one you're watching.

Incidentally, I haven't looked at the bruce lee thing, but using method 2 you can complete Jurassic Park on the Mega drive in 2mins 45.
The average game player is 33 years old.
The average age of the most frequent game buyer is 38 years old. 92 percent of computer game buyers and 80 percent of console game buyers are over the age of 18
