I have never been a big fan of Third Person shooters and of late shooters in general have bored me due to how samey they all feel. But I started hearing a lot of people saying how refreshing this one was and, as a huge Cyber-punk fan I figured I'd give it a go.
For anyone who hasn't played it, do so immediately. The story is excellent, the gameplay exciting and for once the guns feel suitably powerful when usually the basic guns in games are pathetically weak and pointless.
I enjoyed all 14 hours of it and look forward to playing through again to get the other endings :)

Agreed, I completed it yesterday and enjoyed it immensely. Did you watch the FMV after the credits, very cool?
I really enjoyed the story, a bit Blade Runner, a bit I Robot, it's actually one of my fave Sega games for some time.
My one and only gripe is that the voice recognition element didn't work very well for me even though I calibrated the Mic and reduced the background noise etc it still wouldnt recognise my responses very often, but it least it gives you the option to switch to button-press responses which i did after awhile and actually started earning the trust of my squad.
The demo on XBLA didnt really set me on fire but playing the full game was a very rewarding experience. :D

Im teetering on the brink of finishing AC revelations at them mo. But im only 75% synced, I know once ive seen those credits roll the other 25% will never get done, which is what happened with both 2 and Brotherhood. Not this time, nosuree.

I completed Yakuza Dead Souls today with mixed reactions. The gameplay was absolutely superb, the focus on gunplay rather than brawling and the sudden surge of importance when it comes to weapon & armour modding gave the game a really fresh feel, even the demonized camera wasn't all that bad! Sure it stuck in some places but it was never game breaking :)

The story was pretty weak though...I expected that, you don't throw zombies into a well established cannon and make it seamlessly fit in  and in fairness it had it's ups and downs, the worst of it was a lack of focus on main characters. You only play as each character the once and some characters seem to be criminally under-used.

It took me just under 10 hours to beat the story, I'm now going to replay on hard mode and get all 60 substories done

The side stories do flesh out the characters a lot. Goda's are great to see a different side of him, and majima's are some of the best bits in the entire game (his side mission with daigo is hilarious!).

A couple of free PS+ games - Far Cry 2, and Sly Raccoon. Both were good. FC2 was huge and took a very long time, and Sly I finished in a day.

Hellbender (PC)

No picture this time. I didn't realise until I'd completed it that the game was supposed to have cutscenes. These old Windows games....

Trine 2. The graphics were really good, and the game was fun, though it did get a bit annoying near the end trying to work out how to do things (it's a fantasy puzzle/platform/fighting game with three hot-swappable characters).

Starting Shift 2 (I think that's what it is) next. I had a quick go last night and couldn't keep on the track, so I'm not expecting to do very well at it.

Shinobi on the Game Gear on the 3DS (mouthful!) Had to do a bit of Restore Point abusing but I've never finished it before, so was a joy to finally complete it after all these years!

Finished Dino Crisis last night. It was a pretty good game overall. The puzzles aren't as hard as the ones in Res Evil, which is a plus in my book. The dinosaurs make a nice change. I'm a massive Jurassic Park fan, so shooting dinosaurs and starting generators was right up my alley.
