Hmm... I saved them all on my first run-through but playing the stages again on a higher difficulty doesn't seem to count as another run so I could be buggered. I know I didn't save them all on hard mode but even after completing all of the stages that way, I still got the good ending :?

Just an update on this (if anybody even cares): I replayed the prologue level again today to get some more Platinum medals and halfway through, the trophy for viewing the bad ending unlocked itself! . I still haven't seen the bad ending mind, it just popped up halfway through the level for no apparent reason...

Weird :? I've finally cleared the game with the good ending, I personally preferred the dark twist of the bad ending in a way! I'm now just mopping up the last few achievements - I've killed all the named zombies, got all the high scores and am just getting the last few costumes and lollipop wrappers.

I also cleared Gravity Rush this week. Its the best Vita game at the mo and was great fun from beginning to end. The games pace was surprisingly good after a couple of slow tutorial chapters with some great set pieces and boss battles. The challenges got more fun the more you levelled up as it was far more possible to get better scores/times that way. The DLC hasn't been all that great so far, the missions are the weakest the game has to offer and one challenge in particular in the Spy DLC is bastard hard for the wrong reasons!

Batman Arkham City. Fantastic game, really enjoyed it, don't think there is another game that does the stealth combat better. Thinking of getting the catwoman DLC.

Cave Story 3DS

A really well made indie platformer. Feels a lot like Metroid but with more character interaction. Playing it through again on a tougher difficulty and choosing not to trade the starting weapon.

Just finished this over the weekend, only got about 45% completion though so will defo be revisiting this. Theres way too much fun to be had not to, what a brilliant game. My son nagged me into getting the Catwoman DLC, pretty good overall. 4 decent missions and of course you get to play around the city as the lady herself. Combat is a bit more fun and her running speed is way quicker. Worth a punt imo.

I need to get Arkham Asylum again now, I only borrowed it before.

Motorstorm RC for the Vita. I cleared the main game getting nearly all the trophies including finishing the entire game in 40 minutes or less. I'm now going through the DLC now.

greendog-a brilliant platformer with a decent but not overly taxing challenge,it still amazes me with my bad memory that i remember where the shortcuts and hidden rooms are.

Spec Ops: The Line.

As much as the military shooter genre seems to have been done to death recently, this really is an interesting addition. I praised the plot over on the "What are you playing" thread, but it got so much better after I wrote that. The "white phosphorous" incident has been mentioned in a few reviews, but when I got there it really felt like a kick in the gut. That's what so good about the story, it throws situations at you where there's no right answer. The final twist isn't particularly original, but it is handled very well. That's helped in no small part by excellent voice acting from Nolan North and Bruce Boxleitner.

The game plays smoothly and I really don't understand how the reviews I read had problems with the cover mechanic. They complained that it's too easy to slide out of cover but I never experienced this. Games Central complained about how the fact that you're shooting dozens of enemies then feeling about about killing a single person seems inconsistent. I can only assume from this that they didn't play the game to the end.

I still haven't tried multiplayer, but if you fancy a game with a strong story and competent gameplay then I would certainly recommend this. Just don't expect it to be all gung-ho like COD.

Completed Tomb Raider Legend for the third time now, and just got the Platinum Trophy for it. I really enjoyed the game, despite some frustration with a couple of nasty glitches. I'm surprised they weren't fixed for the remastered version. But otherwise a good game. I really liked the music in it too.

Completed Halo 3 for the second time so I could get cheevos (i played it before I had a live account) and to try it on normal as well. Uncomplicated blasting fun, for which I seem to be in the mood for at the moment.

Duke Nukem Forever - you know those girls who have a partner that hits them and treats them like crap, but they still go back to them, insisting he will change - that is me and this game.

There are so many problems with this game you could write an essay on it. Essentially, it feels like a late 90's FPS with a few current trends slapped on an graphics that are a generation old. It's all very well to have Duke joke that power armour is for pussies and you hate valve puzzles, but they lift the two gun limit and refreshing health straight from Halo, and still have to complete the puzzle to advance. This spoils the flow of the game since you have to run for cover constantly, and end up with the wrong weapon for the fight you're in. There's also a reason FPS games have abandoned platforming and underwater sections -they're awful and frustrating. Frustrating is a pretty apt description, since there are certain sections such as the Alien Queen fight which are just plain unfair. Then there's the load times - dear God, the load times. There were occasions where I was dying so often I spent more time waiting for the game to load than playing it. Add to this terrible physics, the dull driving stages, weapons that lack power, virtually the same enemies as DN3D, the highly distasteful Hive level, rubbish ending, glitches, slowdown - if you didn't know any better, you'd think this games was rushed.

Yet you know what? I still played it all the way through. I'm still glad I played it, and I'm still glad it was released. Let's just hope we get a real Duke Nukem game next time

I played the demo and bar some terrible sound, it had no impact, I thought it was a really good shooter.

Silent Hill 3 on PS2

A great survival horror game. There were more than a few shock moments and some really creepy areas that reinforce the nightmare setting. The soundtrack is also wonderful. I do however find the storyline in the Silent Hill franchise incomprehensible with the god, birth and salvation everybodys going on about. It all eventually sounds like gibberish. Personally enjoyed Silent Hill 2 more. Not sure if ill bother with later additions in the series as popular opinion seems to be they go downhill from there.

Got the Platinum on Oddworld Stranger's Wrath earlier. I didn't know what to expect before playing it, but I liked it quite a lot.

Completed Alan Wake (360)...enjoyed it, but the last chapter felt like a gauntlet run, having to fight to get back to the lodge/cabin was tedious, the "boss" tornado" very easy to defeat and the ending just, meh!

Up to that point I enjoyed it, especially the 'nightsprings' twilight zone rip offs and it has my favorite song of all time over the end credits, David Bowie - Space Oddity.

Missing a few pages of the manuscript, but I cant be bothered to replay it on nightmare mode, still, short and sweet, just let down at the end.

Completed Kirby: Power Paintbrush this morning.

Was a bit disappointed with it in all honesty, not as fun as some other Kirby games.
