Because they know you're going to buy it anyway.

But that doesn't have a pretty cover.

Anyone know where I can get Bullet Soul and Muchi Muchi Pork for less than £50?

Really don't want to spend more.

Sadly I don't think it's Cave's fault this time around. From what I can tell the LE will have a different cover and a soundtrack CD. #ripoff

I second that wish of good luck with both those titles, both go for a premium as you know - I hate to say it but some patience and ebay might be in order.

Well, I'd have to flog a few things first. Just bought a new battery for my Thinkpad @ £60. Eep!

Cheers though, I'll keep that in mind.

......that's WAY too pricey for that game.

What in the hell does it even come with?

Ugh. It doesnt even say. Knowing these though, it's probably just a soundtrack or something. The same soundtrack that's really easy to find for download elsewhere.

Bleh. Even the normal version is WAY too expensive, for something that's A: old, and B: almost a straight up port with nothing new. A very slightly almost-tweaked-kinda arrange mode. Bah.

Well, I'm not pre-ordering this, that's for sure.

I know at least with Espgaluda 2 LE which was a similar price on release you got a nice faceplate.

Rumours about a Euro release about Under Defeat, it'd be funny if this were announced for a PAL release a few weeks after the Japanese version was published when you consider how long Raiden Fighters has been in release hell!

I really thought there was as much chance of western gamers seeing this at retail as Ketsui!

I wonder if they will re-write the story for a Western release of Under Defeat? I can see the whole alternate reality where the Axis won World War II won't go down too well in certain territories.

Think you're living in the dark ages. No one really cares about the war these days.

They'll either cut out that title sequence which I suppose would be easy enough or just release it uncut. I tend to think they'll do the latter, I don't think there are those sensitivities around the war any more either. Plus when you start messing with a game it starts to cost extra money, I'm sure that whoever might be releasing this will want to get it out as cheap as possible because the profit margins must be really close. Quite a few alternative history games surrounding WW2 have been released. Hasn't even bionic commando been released uncut now? If the game was full of booby touching like Otomedius I'd be worried about cuts :D

Alot of players dont pay all that much attention to the storylines in shmups anyway. Usually arent exactly known for having deep and engrossing stories.

....well, unless you count the Touhou crowd, but.... I dont.

^ Ha! Just looking at the wiki trying to decide what games to try out had me rolling my eyes; seriously convoluted nonsense. But YT playthroughs have convinced me the games are at least worth a look. And yes, dammit, I do dig the art.

There's been some pestering from board users over at RSG for them to consider looking at Under Defeat HD, whether they'll listen is another thing but it can't hurt to add a few more voices.
