New Star Soccer - just downloading now but looks interesting....

....The career mode is pretty cool - shame I ended up signing for Chelmsford after my trial.

Not quite sure how to describe this game, it looks like Sensi but its more like a puzzle game - liking it so far though

^Make sure you try Score! fella

Anyway just been playing Slingshot Racing, out last night, 69p

Its EXCELLENT, i'm a bit traditional and love the micro machine type of games on the app store, liked the look of this but wasnt keen on the controls from what i heard, totally proved wrong. As the name says 'slingshot' you race around the tracks and touch/let go everytime you're near a corner so you can 'sling' yourself around it.

Take a look at the video here...

http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=135705

Its excellent, gives the whole super sprint type game something new with the controls and its only 69p

Would love to - but ive not bothered upgrading to ios 5 so I can't :?
Anyway, New Star Soccer is excellent - im half way through the first season of the career mode, am doing rubbish but its very addictive - oh, and its free (until you want to go past game 10 of the season) so you should try it!

Right, im getting bloody sick of this - we have won the Emirates Cup 3 times since 2007 and that clearly proves that moving to a new, souless stadium to compete financialy with the "big boys" is the way forwards.

Will be waiting for Air Mail and Virtua Tennis Challenge to be on promo.

Downloading Slingshot Racing now.

Some older high quality games currently on promo,

GTA Chinatown Wars, Osmos, GTA 3, Real Racing 2, Forget-Me-Not, League of Evil 2, iBlast Moki 2, World of Goo, Spirits, EDGE Extend and 1-bit Ninja - all 69p each!

EDIT:
Slingshot Racing is real fun and definitely worth the bargain introductory price, imho. A simple game mechanic that works well.
ProTip - You can press anywhere on the screen to activate the slingshot (so to avoid accidentally hitting the restart button!)

Virtua Tennis is superb on the iPad.

Swipe mechanics work really, really well.

Just had a browse on my iPad last night, woke up this morning to find I'd bought Lost Winds, GTA III, GTA Chinatown Wars and Ridge Racer. Doh.

Looking forward to Lost Winds though, it always looked quite good on Wii but I never got the chance to try it

In print, Tap! July/August will carry the reviews. In digital, Tap! 18 will have the same reviews, and iGamer 3 will also have a list of best iCade games.

I do love iGamer, my perfect mag, just games games games. BUT i wish they would have an ipod version as its ipad only at the mo which is annoying.

Still enjoy Tap! as thats universal, but iGamer please please please go universal

Since they added touch controls to it (so not just swipe) its much better. The sequel is meant to be even better but i'm waiting to try and complete the first one.

Problem is i tend to 'horde' games, theyre so cheap i tend to buy a lot. I always want devs to get good money (okay 69p or so !) so i dont tend to wait for sales/price reductions as i want iOS gaming to do well. The second some dev hardly makes any money on his app he'll either go elsewhere or even worse turn to a freemium model (shudder)

My understanding is this will be rectified. Lots of changes coming to iGamer over the coming months, actually. (Under eight quid for a year right now, if anyone fancies subscribing, too.)

Been playing Air Mail a lot on my ipod, amazing game to look at, simple game mechanics but plays very well, well worth getting if you liked Pilot Wings.
