A really fun Peggle variant with high production values that's currently free. :D

Thought that looked a bit familiar, apparently it's a re-jig of "Coin Drop".

That's a valid comparison too, yes. Imho, it's a better game than Coin Drop though. I suppose one could say Scramblies is like Coin Drop but with a heavier Peggle influence!

Sorry, what I meant was it is actually Coin Drop - it's the same game by the same company but with a re-theming with eggs instead of coins. Apparently they changed it as for some reason people got Coin Drop confused with other coin-related games. Coin Drop is no longer on the App Store now.

Oops! Shows how much I played Coin Drop then!

Loved that game but it's irked me for two reasons,

* I reached the final set of stages and seemingly no matter what I tried I just couldn't score the goal on one particular level. I tried all sorts of different ways of striking the ball but to no avail. Grrr!

* Having upgraded to an iPhone 4S since first playing the game I now see the game has totally reset itself. I doesn't have the option to 'restore' either so I'm back to square one. Grrr!

Quiet week for releases, ones i bought were...

Catapult King
http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=137457

I'm not a fan of Angry Birds but do enjoy this, totally different viewpoint to that of the boulder which you fling towards towers, works well.

Project 83113
http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=137454

Watched the video of this in the link and loved the look of it, wish it had buttons instead of swipes but everyone seems to be raving about the controls working well, had a few goes, take some getting used to but at 69p i thought i would give it a chance.

Tiny Troopers
http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=137455

Loving this, its like a version of Canon Fodder for your device. Plays a similar way, touch the screen for the soldiers to move, touch enemies for them to attack, really good

How's Tiny Troopers on the iPhone/iPod?

I had a similar game (forget the name) and found it awkward as it wasn't quite precise enough on the small screen and inevitably fingers obscure the action a bit. Probably great on iPad but I've no access to one of those yet (though Mrs Ant is determined to get one at Christmas).

I'm also looking for other games similar to Demolition Master as I finished all its levels today. The same company has a couple of others, but I'm sure there must be more. Reminds me of Bomber HeHe on the Dreamcast.

Going the other way, I also assume there are some bridge building variants on iOS (other than the obvious World of Goo).

I'm finding Tiny Troopers okay, must admit i'm pretty good with games on the small ipod screen, probably lots of practice playing various platform games. I'm really enjoying it (and Catapult King is a good laugh).

Funny you mention bridge building variants ! Looking at the top 25 i was surprised to see 'Bridge Constructor' there, seems quite clever reading the description but not my cup of tea.

Actually freed up nearly 3 gig on my ipod but deinstalling some old games, sadly deinstalled Bards Tale. Great game but its a huge huge RPG with many hours of gameplay, but it takes up about 1.7 gig and having to free up space for updates for it was a nightmare. Might come back to it at some stage though.

Still playing Mega Run a lot (its free), normally cant stand these runner type games but love the graphic style and gameplay on this one.

Also went back to 'Pocket RPG' which is worth checking out, bit of a 'Gauntlet' style game, really good.

Just bought my monthly itunes card from my usual dealer on ebay...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-30-iT ... 4166bc50af

Not bad, 30 quid card for £22.49, in the world of apps a saving of £7.50 means a lot ! Must admit since i discovered these cards i never buy any in supermarkets anymore. Havent had one problem with this guy so can recommend, got the two codes in about 10 minutes after i ordered.

Played loads last night, its really easy and i didnt have issues with the controls or my fingers in the way, as its like Cannon Fodder you just touch the screen for the troops to move to, touch the enemy to attack them. Think you'll love it, its a very polished game, really enjoying it and a bargain for a few quid. If you get it let me know what you think of it

Need to play this game more, sounds good you can transfer to lesser clubs rather than Footballer of the Year where you always transferred to a top quality club
