I haven't downloaded much for either my phone or tablet recently is because I went through a spate of getting loads, but now I'm just playing through them.

Probably my favourite game on my tablet is Zen Pinball, I've got all 6 tables available and I must have spent hours on them, and on a decent tablet it plays brilliantly.

Humble Bundle for Android 2;

Canabalt
Zen Bound 2
Cogs
Avadon: The Black Fortress (Tablets only)

& if you pay more than the average you get Swords & Soldiers

http://www.humblebundle.com/

Seems like a sweet deal to me, I know the running man theme has been done to death, but I still love a good old blast on Canabalt every now & again.

SEGA have just released a version of Super Monkey Ball to Android, I bought it for 74p. EA have versions of FIFA 12 and (the modern) NBA Jam that have just arrived on Android. Virtua Tennis Challenge is due to be out in a couple of weeks. Temple Run is out next week.

Humble Bundle looks excellent!

OK, I have jumped ship. 2 years with an iPhone - (and it is still the best system) but the iPhone is not nice and big like the new android ones! So I will try hard to like this as at the mo I am not overly enjoying the experience

So - turn me. What can I get on this that will make me get excited!!!!

It's an HTC One X and I think its the new android Ice Cream thingy.

I have a small data allowance on my Android as I'm really not a phone gamer, but any small (in MB) games that people would recommend? I would imagine 'bit trip/retro' type stuff is small in file size? (I find the file size info on the market misleading)

Wow these Android game threads really die a death don't they?

Nevertheless, Lara Croft: Guardian of Light has just been released for the Xperia phones, and for a limited time is 99p - I posted about it on Hot Deals...

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/tomb-ra ... ay-1268815

I used to enjoy this on the iPhone so I'm looking forward to playing it with proper controls. :D

Football Manager Handheld 2012 down to £2.99

https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... games.fmhi

"Football Manager Handheld is currently priced at £2.99 (down from £6.99). The short-term price reduction will remain in place until July 23rd"

Snap it up. :D

Has anyone else been playing Hambo?

https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... clip.hambo

It's another physics puzzler from the same people who made Fragger, but there's a much bigger range of weaponry which adds to the variety. There's a free version with the first 84 levels of porky goodness, but it's well worth splashing out the 68 pence that the full one costs.

Probably not suitable for vegetarians or Islamists though.

Downloaded Bit Trip Beat last night, I absolutely love it. It works really well on a 7" tablet. :D

Only 63p Go on treat yourself!

Also looking into picking some more OrangePixel games, as I love Stardash & Meganoid & the rest look like fun. :D

Bit.Trip Beat is also part of the Humble Indie Bundle for Android 3. You might have missed the discussion here:

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=36433

Anyway, it's a very decent port even if I did play the game to death on the Wii. I'm not sure how well the tilt controls would work with a larger tablet, but it's eminently playable on my phone.

downloaded a few good games recently for my prime tablet;

- Pinball Arcade (free trial, then cost per table)- superb real pinball simulator. Has a lot of the real pinball tables I used to play back in the day. You can buy the tables individually or save some cash and buy them in a group - the price differs depending on the complexity of the table - around 69p - £2.99. Hope they can get the licence for the Indiana Jones tables - they're currently looking to get the Star Trek: TNG licence via a kickstarter project.

- Broken Sword: Directors cut - very well (re)made point and click adventure https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.revolution.bs1dc&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsInVrLmNvLnJldm9sdXRpb24uYnMxZGMiXQ..

- Heroes Call THD (free) - Dungeon Siege-esque action rpg https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.DefiantDev.heroescall.THD&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5EZWZpYW50RGV2Lmhlcm9lc2NhbGwuVEhEIl0.

- An Assassin in Orlandes - gamebooks on Android - superb! The developer has also just been given the licence to develop the Fighting Fantasy books (House of Hell to be 1st) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=au.com.tinmangames.gamebook1android&feature=nav_other#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDYsImF1LmNvbS50aW5tYW5nYW1lcy5nYW1lYm9vazFhbmRyb2lkIl0.

- Samurai vs Zombie Defence (free) - Funny and very addictive sort of tower defence game https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glu.samuzombie&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5nbHUuc2FtdXpvbWJpZSJd

would love to see an Android feature in the mag - Apple seems to get quite a lot of coverage compared to Android :-( The quality of Android games, the great selection of emulators, and the fact I can plug any usb controller into my Prime means I hardly ever play on any other platform now.

I have to agree, aside from the odd blast on my psp or my modded Xbox when I am lucky enough to get half an hour spare to dig them out, the vast majority of my gametime is now spent on either my Xperia Play or my Nexus 7.

The Xperia Play, now thats a fine device.

I wish more phones incorporated d-pads into their device.
