Spent about 2/3 hours on the last story today, i dont know what to make of it yet, it all seems a bit too simple & linear :?
but maybe all that will change...

I'm warming to it. The only thing that's annoying me so far is accepting side quests from people in the city then not being able to find them once I've gathered the items. It's a pretty large city and there aren't many unique-looking areas so I cannot for the life of me remember where the guy is who wants copper and iron to make a pocket watch. Is there any way of keeping track of these things?

Also, found the option to perv or stay out of a bathroom when Syrenne decides to go a bit bi (or so it seems) . Get a slap for perving or hear some stuff you wouldn't expect to hear in a Nintendo game for staying out

I've got up to chapter 13 . It's pretty good so far, very likable characters. My only gripe is it's a bit easy. The linearity doesn't bother me, but I would like to choose the characters in my party.

Up to chapter 24, it's pretty good but the battle system and controls are average at best. I've still only seen 1 town and I'm probably half way through. It seems a bit rpg light.

Tried The Last Story again and enjoyed it more. It is blurry but I turned the brightness down in the menu and it improves it a decent amount. Wont be starting a playthrough until I officially get it in April. FM comments above worry me though!

There's only one town in it, so that's all you're getting. There's no countryside rambling in this RPG.

I agree with the comments about the graphics; perhaps we'll get to see an HD remake of it on the Wii-U?

I doubt we'll see an HD remake, the game is simply not good enough to warrant it. Up to chapter 29, the battle system is really getting on my tits now. I'm enjoying the game though and the story is picking up speed.

Yeah, probably not; I was just musing really as the artwork is nice and deserves better.

On the whole though, it'd be much easier to re-make a Wii game in HD than is the case for most other systems. It's effectively already been done for a lot of games via some tweaks with the Dolphin emulator and I'd be surprised if we don't see a whole slew of games re-released this way for the Wii-U.

Yesterday I was stuck in A&E (missus's fractured thumb) for three hours, and out of boredom ended up on ebay mobile, buying Mario Galaxy 1, Monster Hunter Tri and PES 2010. £20 all in (PES was 99p, which is why I bought it).

Good buy, I didn't really like Monster Hunter enough to see it through but that's just for my own reasons, I can see lots of people enjoy it. While it can be picked up cheaper Mario Galaxy is well worth £20 alone.

Yeah, Monster Hunter is the kind of game that you could sink some serious time, of the order of hundreds of hours, into if you got going with it; I avoided it myself for precisely that reason.

Mario Galaxy is good though, and it's the sort of game you can finish easily enough without letting it take over your life.

As for PES, well, 99p is probably about right for it to be honest. I suppose it's fun enough, but they've been treading water with the series for a while now so don't entertain any ideas of selling it on for much of a profit.

^ Mind you, PES is the way to go on the Wii - unless you like a ridiculously dumbed-down, over the top, cartoony FIFA.

Popped into HMV today and surprisingly they had Last Story Limited Edition for just £39.99

I asked if they would be getting in Pandora's Tower Limited Edition and they said that they would be at the same price. Think I'm going to pre-order it from them.

Not too sure about pandora's tower. Read a couple of import reviews and they were not that positive. It's an action game not an RPG, it might only be of interest to collectors.

Damn, I was under the impression that it was an RPG.

Will have to do a bit more research on it.
