Have really started to get into my wii console, think it's going to cost me a small fortune to catch up with the backlog though, but managed to get a few games from Game today, hotd, samba de amigo and NIghts. Am looking forward to Monster Hunter and some fo the Rpgs.

What, if you will people, would you consider a top 10 must play wii games?

Xenoblade, if your looking to waste some hours, you can literally just spend hours exploring the world & general messing about :D

a few other decent games off the top of my head-
a shadows tale
track mania
sonic colours
excite bots
no more heroes 2
sin & punishment
muramasa
bully
fatal frame 4
endless ocean
boom blox
punch out
silent hill shattered memories

Mario Galaxy
Mario Galaxy 2
NSMB Wii
Donkey Kong Country Returns
Metroid Prime 3 (Metroid Prime Trilogy if you can)
Skyward Sword
Twighlight Princess
No More Heroes 1/2
Sonic Colours
Mario Kart Wii

I'd also suggest Sin and Punishment, Xenoblade and The Last Story though I have'nt played them myself. Also it's worth considering some ports like Okami, Pikmin 1 & 2 and the Resident Evil games (Zero, REmake and 4) if you missed them the first time.

Xenoblade seems to be the RPG of choice, though Monster Hunter Tri is an equally meaty time-eater.

If you're looking for a good rpg I would recommend fire emblem, still one of my favourite wii games. Fragile Dreams is also a mini classic, for me anyway :)

It's ludicrously over the top but I found it extremely entertaining nonetheless. Basically, if anything can go wrong in Raymond Bryce's day, then it does.   Tsunami? Check. Volcanic eruption? Check. Hurricane? Check. Attacked by angry grizzly bear? Check. ...

For 'must play' games on the Wii, nobody's mentioned Zak & Wiki: Quest For Barbaros' Treasure, the remakes of A Boy and his Blob and Klonoa, or Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers yet, And that makes me a sad panda. :(

It was the grizzly bear bit that did it for me, had to laugh at that bit.

I'm still playing it and I cannot decide if it's one of the best games I've ever played or one of the worst games I've ever played.

The biggest crime I thought, was that Nintendo didn't release Disaster: Day Of Crisis over in America. :? I'm pretty sure they would've lapped it up and it would have at least been a sleeper hit there.

It felt like being trapped in a Roland Emmerich movie to me.

Add me to the list of people that's enjoying Disaster Day of Crisis. Fun to play and over the top, a hidden gem in the Wii library that's the best £1.98 I've spend in awhile.

I've not got Onechanbara but have picked up the rest on your list, all of which are great games.

As a fan of the Disaster Report games I also really like Day of Crisis. I thought the natural disasters were all handled really well (I especially liked the levels that took place after the volcanic erruption). The Time Crisis style shoot out battles worked well as well.

Onechenbara on the wii was a bit poor, it looked nice but i lasted all of five minutes using the motion controls, a real pity.

I don't think any Onechanbara is a must play game, they are more entertainly diversions.

Retrojc, I would recommend Xenoblade as The New Monkey said. It has plenty to do and some lovely visuals and music. A decent plot overall on what I have played.

I can't say I was that impressed with Onechanbara either. Sure, it's the sort of game worth snapping up if you come across it for under a fiver, but there are hundreds of those. If you want a quality beat 'em up for the Wii try Brawl, Muramasa, No More Heroes or even Madworld first.
