There is an indie run 'n' gun game(think Ruff 'n' Tumble, Metal Slug, and Turrican) on Steam for £6.99. It can handle 4 players co-operatively. It can go into really high resolutions (2560x1600!).

I have Cthulu Saves The World on the 360, but had to buy it again and that price, really cool game and the music is brilliant.

Sorry the game I should have mentioned was 'Shoot Many Robots' . I think I edited the post. It is now 7.99. Still cheap.

I see that 'The Elder Scrolls III : Morrorwind : Game of the Year Edition' is available. 6.49 and it is yours.

Likewise with the sequel 'The Elder Scrolls IV : Oblivion'. There is the 'Game of the Year Edition' for 7.49 and the 'Deluxe Edition' for 9.99.

If you like your RPGs. Go get them.

I used to hate Steam, but I'm loving the range of Indie games. I've a few questions - outwith the Monkey Island games, Telltale adventures and Hector series can anyone recommend any good adventure games on Steam?

Also, I bought Bastion and I like it - but I find the controls are a bit fiddly on my laptop. I know I'd like it more with a controller or on a console...I want to buy the Binding of Isaac, but is that impacted by fiddly controls?

Before anyone suggests I get a controller - I'm using a laptop, and the reason I don't have a controller is because I travel a lot for work and it's pretty impractical to take one with me. My laptop has almost replaced portable systems for me...

Machinarium and The Longest Journey are both fantastic. The former is a little short but beautifully made and has some tough puzzles. The latter is lengthy and has a fantastic story but some of the puzzles are VERY obscure. I ashamedly used a guide once or twice after wandering back and forth for over an hour trying to figure out what to do. So yeah, good for a challenge!

Jolly Rover is quite good fun - it's fairly easy and a bit short, but it's a pleasant way to spend a few hours.

Machinarium and Longest Journey can also be bought from GOG, which might be preferable for those who prefer not to have to log into Steam to play their games.

Only thing I got today is Legend of Grimrock. As always I'll leave the individual sales for the last day in case they turn up in a bundle earlier. I would have grabbed today's Indie bundle but I already own all of those except Lone Survivor, which is cheaper on its own.

bit of a bumpage but i thought this was a good one

star wars collection weekend deal with the likes of:

battlefront II £2.20
republic commando £2.37
KOTOR 1+2 £2.37 each
and many more.

also the new tomb raider is £14.99 this weekend £17.49 for survival edition

i'm very tempted by the KOTOR's.
