I don't think I know what I'm doing on most of the tables, I seem go have a decent score on the Excalibur table compared to a few people on here but that's it, improved most of my scores today through perseverance, but they're still crap.

Look on the bright side though. Whatever your highscores are, it's all adding to your friend's Wizard Score. Everybody wins!

Spent a couple of hours playing Pasha this week, a table I've had since getting PBFX2 but not really spent any time on. Its a great table, lots of interesting extra playfields and things to do, really enjoying it, cannot for the life of me control that Magnets thing when trying to 'Save the Princess'.

Feel free to add me on XBL.

The magnet thingy is 50/50 with me. When the ball comes out I press one of the flipper buttons and if it's the right one (in that it throws the ball around towards the other side) I've nailed it, because all you have to do after that is press the buttons alternately so the ball keeps spinning round.

The hardest thing for me was finding out how to hit that area for the book of tales thing on a regular basis. Took me ages to realise the middle flipper was getting in the way and it was easier to shoot through there if you kept the flipper raised.

Fantastic Four table is up on XBLA for download, 240pts.

Had a couple of shots on it. Seems pretty good. Lots of loops.

Captain America table hits XBLA on June 29th.

In other pinball news the EU release of Williams Pinball Classics is (apparently) this friday. £24.99 on Game's online store. It might actually be happening at last.

That's me, exactly. Not just with this, but with all pinball. Doesn't matter, I still really enjoy playing it... it's therapeutic, in fact.

Yep, I've got 360 and PSP UMD version preordered on Zavvi where both are super cheap. (About 18quid and 13quid).
I'll finally believe it when I get the 'shipped' email.

If any of you are still playing this make sure you download the Paranormal table that's being released tomorrow.

It's free until November 1st (after that it'll cost you 240pts).

Yes I saw that, you beat me to it to post up the info.

Do you know if it means you can play it for free until the 1st Nov and after that you have to buy it, or is it a case of you have it free forever if you get it before the 1st?

Thanks

Hi Everyone! Yes, Paranormal will be a FREE download for one week only. It's a bit of a 1 year Pinball FX2 anniversary celebration, and we really wanted to say "thanks" for all of the support over the past year.

Once you download the table it is yours FOREVER.

The FREE download period is Oct 26 - Nov 2.

If you have friends who are experiencing Pinball FX2 for the first time, please make sure they download the FREE Pinball FX2 platform from Marketplace when they download Paranormal.

Once again, thank you all for supporting Zen Studios. It's been a great year for us and we are happy to give something back to you, our fans.

It's a good week for Pinball fans. On top of the free FX2 table we've also got the announcement of Farsight's Pinball Arcade for XBLA, PSN and just about every other digital platform going. Excellent.

Wow wow wow! Now that is what I like to see. I prefer playing remakes of existing tables, so this looks ace!

Same here. FX2 is all manner of brill but I actually prefer Williams Pinball Classics on the 360. The older tables can be a bit moo but the more modern stuff like Tales Of The Arabian Nights, Medieval Madness, Taxi and No-Good Gophers are far better than nearly all the tables in Zen's offering. There's more variety in the flipper layouts (the FX2 tables are getting extremely samey IMO) and the sound effects are superb.

Cheers, will probably buy one of the tables I don't have as well.
