I have stopped a fair few times to watch Pilotwings Resort, which the local Tesco leaves running on their display 3DS. I think it looks great!

However, I'm still quite a long way from buying one I think. A few more good games and a new model incorporating a second analogue stick would go a long way towards persuading me to open my wallet.

This is the only thing holding me back, I only want to buy this system once, and I want the best version, so waiting seems the prudent thing to do. I hate being sensible.

Then again maybe there never will be a new model, maybe Nintnedo will make more money flogging 3DSs and Circle Pad Pros seperately. The only way to guarantee the announcement of a new model is for me to cave in and buy the old one.

Don't know if anyone else has spotted this but 3DS sales figures have now been released up to 31st December 2011. At that point the console stood on 15.03 million if the reports are accurate - not too shabby.

I still only have two games (Mercs and Ocarina) for my 3DS, I really need to show it some love at some point!

Mario & Sonic at the London Olympic Games 2012 is the thirteenth 3DS game I currently have in my collection. I really like what I played so far - loads of events, many different, interesting control styles, fantastic sound and visuals - feel I'll get my money's worth.

One Piece arrived yesterday to go along with RE. Got to laugh at the spelling mistake on the spine of One Piece. :P

And the US RE spelling mistake from a while ago.

i was thinking of getting that untill i read that the european release of One Piece Unlimited Cruise SP offers just half the content of the japanese version, ie its just part 1 from the wii version, japan got both games on one 3ds cart & we get a stripped back wii port!

nice looking pack tho, will prob still pick it up when it hits the bargain bin :D

I've not played it yet & probably won't for quite some time. I was going to hold off & wait for a price reduction, but in the end I just had to have it for 'the collection'. Sad I know!

Is Tekken Prime out yet? I was in ASDA yesterday and there was a tannoy advert stating that the game was "out now" but I couldn't see it anywhere!

Strange. I noticed that the Blood Vengeance movie was new out on DVD so perhaps ASDA got mixed up? They definitely said "Tekken 3D Prime Edition including the Blood Vengeance animated movie". Lord knows what they were going on about.

Reading Edge review of MGS 3D:Snake Eater, seems a very worthy conversion indeed, 3D used to great effect:

'The absolute pinnacle of MGS3D's use of 3D comes when aiming a gun in 1st person view while lying in the grass. The illusion of depth here is so layered that it beats almost everything else on 3DS to date' and 'Playing in 2d, even to give your eyes a rest, feels like a waste' and '...the list goes on-judging enemy distance, or the terrific effects during a late chase sequence-but suffice to say MGS3D is a must -have if you want to show off the 3DS hardware'.

'....And even it's HD update does'nt look as good as this portable treatment'.

Only downers? lack of 3DS specific features, reviewer wanted to see more than what's on offer and omission of PS2 ver.MP mode dissapointing.

8/10.
