Thanks for the replies guys, I will give Space Quest a go, like a bit of sci-fi and humour.

Dammit, this is getting into a terrible addiction now. Just got Alien Shooter (+Expansions), Pinball Gold Pack, Crusader: No Remorse, Rayman Forever and Commandos Ammo Pack, for around £10.80 :D

I know there's a specific thread on the Team 17 GoG releases (here) but I thought I'd dredge up the old GoG Special Offers thread to say that in addition to the titles mentioned in the Team 17 thread, Alien Breed and Worms, GoG have now added Superfrog.

I was never all that fussed on Superfrog, but I might pick it up at some point and see if I can get into it. Thought it was only released on the Amiga, too ... well, you learn something new every day.

GOG are taking preorders for a quite interesting looking game called Legend of Grimrock. It looks as though this is in line with the publisher's expressed desire to branch out into new releases with a retro flavour. From looking at the trailers on GOG's website it reminds me a little of Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall, which I dipped into a few months ago. Would it be too much of a stretch to say it even harks back to the great Dungeon Master?

It'll cost a little more than your standard GOG release - $11.99 is the asking price. But this could be a most pleasant surprise!

Yeah, I've had my eye on this for ages. Very Black Crypt/Dungeon Master. Me like.
Plus, it's about seven and a half quid or thereabouts. Not bad at all.

I've just signed up to Good Old Games so I could pre-order Legend of Grimrock (which I also can't wait to play by the way!!!) and got 7 games free! :D I'll definitely be using this site more often!

For those who do not have Fallout, GoG are giving it away free for the next 48 hours.

In other news, GoG now has Assassins Creed.....since when were tech demo's considered retro

Never played the original before, so this might be a good time to try it. Thanks.

Didn't spot Fallout last night, added to my account now. Note there's no need to actually download it right now, any of these freebies in your account remain yours so you can redownload at any time.

Assassin's Creed is a weird one. I don't mind GoG expanding their catalogue, quite the opposite, I think its a great thing. It is now an 'old' game (though in no way retro), but the site isn't 'GRG'. What I find very strange is the extortionate price they're charging. You can pick it up at retail for under a fiver and they have it at $20. I just can't see that selling to the GoG audience, thus I can't see it helping them in any way. Maybe its an experiment to test how much they can get away with charging?

In other news, Wing Commander 4 is looking very tempting.

I've rather let this thread slip...

The news of fallout being free on GOG got around quickly on every site I use, added it to my account last night.

According to what was said at that conference, they're just called GOG.com now, no longer Good Old Games... which explains the newer stuff appearing

Cheers for the 'headsup' with Fallout - also added to my account. I've never played this before and, as I've really enjoyed FO3 & New Vegas a lot, it'll be interesting, and hopefully enjoyable, to play the first game.
