The Sly trilogy is currently £9.99 on PSN, I own 1&2 (but not 3) on PS2 but the thought of owning all three in HD for £3.33 a pop seems a very reasonable offer to me, just a pity they're taking aaaaaages to download.

The failure of GAME to die has meant that pre-owned prices in both that store and CeX have risen again.

A quick check on Play.com and Amazon shows that Mass Effect 3 on Xbox is down to about £24 now. There's no way I'd have bought it (or any game in fact) for £40-£50, but at twenty notes I'll bite. Skyrim's still at a high £25 but I might be tempted at that price. I know I'll get a massive 100+ hour game at least.

I was going to wait for the GOTY Edition though, since Oblivion/Fallout 3 taught me waiting was always the better idea.

Yes I noticed that too! Since the buy out, my local GAME store seem to have planted an extra £5 on most existing pre-owned stock (e.g. the same stock that was £7.99 is now £12.99). I didn't want them to go under, but at least try to be competitive!

Gamestation seem to have ended the 2 for £20 options as well, and very little of worth in CEX for under a tenner. Another nail in the coffin of my high street purchases

GAME Walsall was selling a decent condition Gamecube for £1.99 yesterday!

The guy behind the counter was shaking his head in disbelief at how such a "great console with some wonderful games" could be sold for less than the cheapest Subway sandwich. I was tempted to buy it, but I still have my Silver Zelda Gamecube. Plus the Wii plays Gamecube games natively already.

Still, a great spend for anyone with kids who wants to get into the whole "console" thing as chap as possible.
