You started it.

No, I did not. Criticism of an individual's actions is not the same thing as name-calling.

You do realise you can reveal the exiistance of something while still keeping the contents private dont you. or is the concept a little too complicated for you.

I always thought these forums were not that Busy, I just wonder how many members just give up having to deal with people like you on here.

Regarding AvP, how on earth do you add your intials after a game has ended, it appears to add the name of the previous owner and have no idea how to clear his info of the game cart??

How you getting on with AVP?

Played that for an entire sunday, even skipped the sunday lunch.Found game so atmospheric, bodies lying on canteen floor, Xenomorphs (Excuse me sir, a xeno...what?) lurking in the shadows, Predator's mocking whisper etc...

I was referring mainly to the second sentence.

Seriously, come on, this needs to stop now. This isn't even an argument any more, this is just slinging now.

I am going to leave this thread in a positve light and repeat my first post.

AVP is a must for anyone owning a Jag.

Sensible soccer and cannon fodder while not a reason to get a Jag are certainly worth getting once you have one, A lot of fun.

Powerdrive is a fun little games, but then again I am a sucker for those types of games.

Of course I realise such a thing. However, you have not revealed anything other than a claim that you may well have made up. To borrow a phrase, put up or shut up.

Still trying to turn the tables in the aim of winning sympathy I see. To reverse your interpretation of events, it's a wonder why you bothered joining here only a fortnight or so ago given that you've caused nothing but trouble in this and other threads.

However, I am willing to concede that I may have been a little harsh on you as it was another member who was most guilty of trolling the thread.

Was this a official cartridge by Atari/Midway or whoever owns the rights for it these days, or a limited released Homebrew cart and how much woulkd I be looking at paying for it..

I've been promised a few brand new Jaguers and about 10 games and a boxed 2600 a few months back.. Friend of mine works in a shop that used to sell Atari consoles, but now only does sound systems, and he found the Atari consoles in the store room.. Long story short his Boss says he wants about £50 - £70 for a few boxed Jaguers a boxed Atari 2600 plus a load of boxed games games... Is this is a good price, (no idea what the games are) hopefully his Boss doesn't know about Ebay..

I recall a few years ago, mayeb 7 or so, Game in Manchester Centre did the same thing - I went in one day and there were dozens of brand new boxed jaguars going for cheap. I didn't bother, I was deep into PC gaming and TBH never put any stall in the pre-Playstation 32-bits. How does the jag compaire, hardware wise ?

Its a bit overwhelming isnt it and soo easy to get lost, it took me ages to find the pulse rifle. Just a shame about the map resetting itself when you go to a different floor!

Cybermorth just makes me think of "Where did you learn to fly?" that is such a scary voice...

The port of Doom is fantastic, no music though, but I kind of like it that way. It makes it really sinister.

Jag Doom is indeed fantastic.Never liked the music in PC Doom, but PS1 Doom music (baby wailing etc-Fecking disturbing!).

Edge's AVP review (censored game for no in-game music) wound me up at the time, music (for myself) would have ruined the atmosphere.

Little known fact this but if you look at the source code for Jaguar Doom ALL of the music is there and the game originally had it. John Carmack however felt the game had far more atmosphere without the music and found that game ran a little faster too so he simply turned it off. It would be possible for somebody to hack the code and re-release it with the music if they wished.

I think that's why I find the PS1 to be the best version - the stupid music is replaced with all the disturbing crying, far off chainsaw noises etc. Much more atmospheric and scary than the PC version, even if it's not quite so smooth.

Yes. That dreadful midi dirge didn't suit the game at all and turning it off is always the first thing I do when I fancy a blast of Doom.

The initial space missions with their simple ambiance music were awesome.
