Pity PS2/Xbox: Falcon:Into The Maelstorm got canned...

A truly happy marriage of graphic novel-quality visuals and compelling gameplay.
Seamless transition between piloting ships and FPS elements of the game.
12 single player missions.
5 massive multi-player maps.
Limb Severing and Dismemberment system enables maximum carnage in firefights.
Character artwork and models created by 2000AD and Batman artist, Jim Murray.
An integral plot written by Judge Dredd writer, Robbie Morrison.
Falcone: Into the Maelstrom uses the very latest Unreal engine.

Warhead, along with Subwar 2050 can be considered to be one of the 'parents' of the I-War space games, as it was written by Glyn Williams. He and Subwar's creator Michael Powell co-designed and developed I-War and its sequel.

I was very fortunate to be involved at the tail end of I-War development, and was project lead on the Defiance campaign for the deluxe edition. Consequently the I-War games are very special to me.

The I-War games are cheap this weekend on www.gog.com, and are well worth the $2.99 they cost right now.

Those games are a bit dumbed down compared to X-Wing and TIE Fighter. Still good, mind.

Probably due to the lack of keyboard, I remember being wingman for my bro in law back in the day, basically meant that I was in charge of the keyboard commands while he flew the ships.

Yeah, I did that with my brother for X-Wing as well. I basically did his shield charging and laser charging. It was an interesting way of playing it.

Would have been interesting if X-Wing Alliance would have two players on one machine, for the Millennium Falcon(one doing the cannons and one doing the flying).
