This very same person has the following items listed in their review feedback history,

* Xploder Ultimate Edition - Xbox 360
* Xploder Ultimate Edition - PlayStation 3
* Xploder Cheats System - Ultimate Edition (Xbox 360)
* Blaze Sega Megadrive Handheld with 18 games built-in : Streets Of Rage - Special Edition
* Blaze PSP to TV Adaptor
* Blaze Mel B: Fitness First - Gym Pack (Wii)
* Blaze Blink Now
* Blaze Sega Ultimate Portable Console with 20 Classic Megadrive Games built-in
* Blaze Wicked Monsters Blast with 2 Blasters - Bundle Edition (Wii)

Purely coincidental I'm sure! :lol: :lol: :lol:

The item in said person's review feedback history that had me laughing the most though?

@Dreamcast RIP

Well this gets more interesting, I have looked a little closer at that reviewer, Mr Elite gamer, and it would seem he has a particular affection for products from Pqube, to add to the Blaze/Xploder reviews you have noted above he has glowing five star appraisals to the following Pqube items:

Wicked Monster Blast with two blasters
Wicked Monster Blast Solus
Mud World Championship Xbox 360
Blazblue Continuum Shift Xbox 360
Blazblue Continuum Shift PS3 (why would any sane person have bought and reviewed the same game on three systems.
Blazblue Continuum Shift Ps Vita
Winter Sports 2012 PC
Winter Sports 2012 DS (same as above)
Winter Sports 2012 Wii
Emily The Strange: Collectors Edition DS
Emily The Strange DS
Playmobil Top Agents DS

Now putting Blaze europe Pqube into google turned up an interesting snippet of information, I do not know if I should name the gentleman involved here, but Blaze have a marketing Consultant, who remarkably is also the Marketing manager for Pqube, so how amazing is it that there is a reviewer on Amazon who has reviewed a total of 21 products out of 26 items, from three clearly linked companies, Extraordinary coincidence I am sure.

Also in his role at Blaze he is working on a 'specialist project launching 2011' wonder what that was??

Excellent investigative work, adippm82. :D

I'm now tempted to have a delve into the review feedback histories of some of the others who've posted 5 star reviews for the gg. :wink:

These people might have spent a few years at some top uni, have great qualifications but are they that stupid they think they can leave 5/5 star reviews for JUST their products and people wont find out ? Just makes these companies look so stupid and people so inept.

Fake reviews do way more harm than good (I see it on itunes with app reviews or shill posts about their own games etc

I'd forgotten the 5 star reviews concerned had all been removed by Amazon.co.uk already.

The gg currently has eight reviews and they're all 1 star rated!

I have sent another e-mail to Amazon about this ridiculous reviewer, and was awaiting their answer, then just as I was leaving some comments on Elite gamers reviews, they started disappearing, there are now only five left, the fake Blaze, Xploder and Pqube product reviews all gone.

Just got another e-mail back saying the reviews have been removed, and all future ones from this user will be carefully vetted before publishing.

I often find it is arrogance with these people, they think they can do or say what they want, a superiority complex, that makes them think everyone is beneath them and less intelligent, they think, 'you know what we'll plant loads of fake crap about our own goods, and no-one will be clever enough to see through our ploy' ....pitiful really.

Great work and absolutely the right result. :D

Amazon.co.uk deserve much credit too for their swift and satisfactory response. :D

Yes indeed they do, thanks Amazon.

If anyone suspects a dodgy reviewer on their site, just e-mail them at

reviews-help@amazon.co.uk.

Now as for the other five star Game Gadget reviewers, let's see...

the lastest from the GG forum:

New GG Software Update!
Today I plugged in my GG in order copy cdoty Picnic Warrior game (in the freeware section at the bottom of the forums) and was greeted with a screen telling me there was a new version of the GG software here: http://download.gamegadgetgames.com/

I installed and was happy to see that you can now buy games direct from the store, pay for them and install them all from the GG software on the pc. Within two minutes I had chosen, paid for and was playing the selected games.

Very happy GG team

No actual official word from GG themselves about it which is very typical of them. My guess is you can probably buy the same megadrive games direct from the store now but I highly doubt anything else is on there! :lol:

Some progress (finally!) and evidence they're delivering on promises made. :D

I fear the games will be the aforementioned Mega Drive game ROMs on offer for the princely sum of £2.99 as advertised. Yaaay... or not, as the case may be. Still, even that'd be a start...

Yes, on the plus side it's good things have moved along...slightly. You can now order your games automatically...now all you need is some games to use it for... But seriously, good theres a little progress.
The bad, is that they are the same bunch of arrogant f***s with nothing but complete contempt for their customers. Someone there needs to fire a rocket under all of them and get them organised. It only takes one spokeperson to be nominated to go onto the forum with a sticky topic and give a weekly update of news and what they are doing. But they are utter sh*t with their service but don't seem to really care about that all that much. It's just quite astounding how bad it actually is. :?

...The upshot is that it was released about four months too early and it looks like it'll take that extra time to sort their sh*t out and get it up and running, and their policy seems to be to ignore customers until then, take the refunds on the chin when asked for.
The problem with that is you risk severely damaging your good will and reputation (even more!). Even if it's finally running they will need something very special to lure angry and snubbed customers back.

I think its pretty much a failure now. Nice idea but gone wrong on so many levels and I don't think they will be able to restore faith after what's happened.

just had a visit to the forum and its confirmed absolutely no paid for content has been added as suspected! so yes they have done something but almost seems a complete waste of time if theres nothing new to go on it and no word on that publisher!! lies?? surely NOT!!! :lol:
