I was so interested in this when i first heard about it, but the way the company has behaved, and continues to behave beggars belief, at least Zapiy is getting some information out now, but the fact of the matter is, he should not have to, they should be keeping their own customers informed, not rely on someone to offer help on a forum before any news on the console gets out, he is obviously getting the answers from people in the know, so why not answer the questions themselves, it makes them look even more unprofessional.

I see a question has now been answered (by Zapiy) as to why the Amiga CD32 games have not come out, apparently while they iron out the Dosbox application, they have been put on hold, but my question is why are they messing about with this, on a handheld with very limited buttons on it, how well are these old games going to play, yes they may be putting button mapping into the program, but how will that work at all well, when a game like Frontier uses most of the F keys for the star maps, launching the ship, buying and selling etc, that is without the all the other keys it needed, and will they actually be able to license Frontier anyway, going on past records I doubt it, I can see the e-mail to Konami, or worse David Braben now, 'Hello how do we go about licensing your games'.

Is the Dosbox thing purely to be able to get more freeware onto the device more easily, all those old shareware versions of great games about on the web, or hacked versions of full games, would it not be better to try and get the Amiga CD32 games, of which Frontier is one, that used a game pad, much more easy to match the Game Gadgets controls.

And biggest of all, who is this mysterious publisher, that has not been heard about since it was put on the forum ages ago, is it just another stalling tactic, or is it real, the only thing for sure is that we will not hear much if anything from Xploderadmin on any of the above, maybe it was a slight bend of the truth and it is the people behind Dosbox.

Even if they did get the store up and running, and started adding some worthwhile content onto it, I for one would not go near it, because I would in no way pay the sort of prices they have on the meagre offerings they have on the store, £2.99 each for those games, no thank you, and in this age of smartphones, IOS and Android charging peanuts for games, or giving them away, I cannot see many others doing it either.

One last thing, I find the twitter feed hilarious, anyone at all mentions anything retro, and up pops the game gadget, with 'Hello, have you considered the Game Gadget', or 'you should take a look at the Game Gadget', mind you after 9th June, they seem to have given up.

I really look forward to the reviews of this thing.

May I ask if they've tasked you with dealing with this RG thread as part of your role/responsibilities?

I'd imagine much of what has been discussed and flagged up here in this thread has been a source of great annoyance to them.

No i am really just helping on the GG forum. I will post info here if I get any to share with you lot as I figured your not all on there lol.

I see a question has now been answered (by Zapiy) as to why the Amiga CD32 games have not come out

Here's a great example of how bad they are. LJD asked a legitimate question about Amiga CD32 games, games they said they had. Instead of simply popping on and replying, with the same answer Zapiy bought, they deleted the question! "You're NOT to ask about the games we once said we had!!!!"
Arrogant, superiority complex, our customers are an inconvenience, disgraceful behaviour.
Why? Why delete a question like that? Why not just answer it? It still makes me cynical they even have many of these games that are yet delayed again while they work on something else. They, IMO, are either obsessive compulsive flitting from one thing to another...or my suspicion is more this is more stalling tactic while they desperately try and get some games, ANY games set to go. Until I see something black and white, set to go, and customers have it...what else can you believe? When have they actually, to date, 'come through' with something they've said? Where are the 'save states' they were working on mid may and were 'within hours' of being up? Still not there, and no longer mentioned as they've moved onto something else. Still no more games, you still can't even change your ****ing weapons in Doom-but that doesn't seem to bother them!!!

Not having a gg, I'm only going by what gg customers have told me. To my knowledge it has not been fixed on the basis the game works aside from 'this minor niggle.'
Lol, minor niggle. It's no big deal you have to waste your BFG or rocket launchers blowing up a mutant sparrow in a tree or something then have to take on the bosses with a pistol because you can't change to what you want...
It makes it more of a challenge, I'll give it that

Yes, I went to look at the forum last night, AVG lit up like a christmas tree, and Google also would not let me on the page.

I just tried again a minute ago, and the whole site seems to be down.

A pretty decent account of things. Would have been even better if the writer had mentioned the company's shenanigans on Amazon.co.uk!

Thanks for the heads-up, Grizzly. :D
