Still looks awful and very awkward to use.

Thank heavens they've ditched the 'circle pads' in favour of seemingly proper analogue sticks. :D

Still looks an ergonomic mess though.

It doesn't look much bigger or bulkier than an iPad, and a lot of people seem to be keen to use those as controllers.

I have to agree though, the PSP/3DS-style analogue nubs were the one feature of the original design I really didn't like. I'm glad they've gone with a more traditional thumbstick.

I think it looks glorious and I'm looking forward to use it!

Motion Tracker in an Alien-Shooter!
I hope that will be as good as it sounds.

Last time I checked iPad didn't have thumb sticks, a d-pad and a variety of face buttons.

It looks like it will be fine to hold but i'm not sure of the placement of the sticks above the buttons.

Same as the PS Vita in my opinion.
The square is a great shape, and one that is criminally underused in modern game design. In the push to ever more granular, chaotic environments, games have lost sight of the simple pleasures of right angles and straight lines.

I think it will be ok, but i'd be interested to see the underneath of it to see if it has anything designed to help the hands sit/grip it naturally, much like the 360 controller or Dreacast controller as it could make all the difference in how comfortable it is.

There seems to be a lip of some kind running round the back for your fingers to rest on.

Putting the sticks above the buttons give you the chance to accidently press them with the sides of your thumbs. Are there any triggers?

Pretty sure there is.

While the closeness of the buttons to the analogue stick could be an issue I think moving the buttons and d-pad inward is an ergonomic improvement, it's more comfortable for your thunmbs to move diagonally down and inward than straight down.

Hopefully if there's a hands-on at E3 any issues will present themselves and Nintendo will make any necesary adjustments before launch.

Here are some more rumors and concept drawings which show the back of the controller. I don't know if it is legit.

Surely the sticks should be lower on the controller?? That high it'll slip from your hands, reaching the other buttons will be a pain and you'll likely smoosh the sides of the touch-screen.

Also LOL'ing at whoever said the Vita is awkward to hold
