Club RG - the return of Let's All Play

Postby Stuart@retrogamer on Thu May 03, 2012 9:31 am

As Darran announced last week, we're bringing back Let's All Play. However, we've decided to give it a bit of a re-launch, taking into account everyone’s feedback about it.

We’re going to kick things off with Bomb Jack and there are more details about the changes in the relevant 'Club RG' section of the forum. I’ll be posting the topic threads later on today, so look out for them if you want to take part.

Good stuff Stuart... I wasn't around when it was going before, but I'll try and follow it now... maybe dip into some unknown games..

I was given this game along with my first Amiga and whatever pack contained Super Putty and Pushover. I was - I would guess - 7 or 8 years old at the time and I really wasn't a fan of it. It'll be interesting to see if my opinion has changed with age. I still own the original game, but I haven't touched it since the mid 90s. Hopefully it still works.

Good choice! I remember getting a daftly high score when I played the ZX Spectrum version on that old Russian highscore site many moons ago.

Nooooooooooooooooo! Oh, for sanity's sake - nooooooooooo! The C64 version will ruin your appetite for BJ. One example: Screen 1 - the platform the enemies first fall on, when there is an enemy on it you CANNOT jump over the enemy as you are far too fat. And it is like that throughout all levels - there is something everywhere to spoil one's enjoyment. Please! DON'T DO IT, Khisanth (or anyone else for that matter)!

Stick with the Spectrum version. :D
