Just been playing final fantasy 7 and having climbed up to help Barrett, fought off Reno, escaped using the wire, listened to Barrett doing his Boycie impersonation (Mar-lene!) for far too long, have just been killed in one of those random encounters and I'm going to have to go through all that bloody lot again because there weren't any save points...

I suspect I may decide that life is just too short and not sure I like the whole twee experience of FF7

'YLoD' on my expensively purchased launch model PS3 and Sony's refusal to acknowledge the matter in any way similar to what Microsoft did with the 'RRoD' issue on Xbox 360.

Once bitten twice shy though. So disgusted with Sony am I that it played a significant part in me not having purchased a PS Vita and I'll be unlikely to purchase a 'PS4' until at least the first hardware revision regardless of good it is. Way to go, Sony.

Also, The House of the Dead: Overkill Extended Cut and The House of The Dead 4 (PS3) not being compatible with the G-Con 3 lightgun controller. No, Sega/Sony, the absence of G-Con 3 compatibility does not mean I'll be forking out for a PlayStation Move controller. It means I just won't be buying your games.

Got a loan of a mates' copy of Dead Rising the other night, spend an hour and a half playing it without even thinking to save, and then a DISC READ ERROR flashes onto the screen, requesting I turn the system off. I wasn't furious or anything, but annoyed, and I won't be in a hurry to revisit those first 90 minutes anytime soon.

Speaking of Dead Rising, that was one of my last gaming things to p**s me off. Being the completist I am, I wanted to do all the cases in Dead Rising, then I was on a mission (think its the one where you have to save a hostage, and bring her back before the time limit runs out) that I just could not complete for the life of me, bring on low health with no weapons. Then, when I realised I couldnt retry the case, it left me so infuriated after doing everything before hand to completion, that I put the controller down, and never went back to it. Dont intend to either.

Modded Baldurs Gate 1+2 , which took ages. Then started playing through. a couple of hundred (at LEAST) hours spent working my way through BG1, completing all the side quests, collecting all the equipment, exploring all the areas, maxing up my characters stats. Just as I whipped the maon bad guys ass and began BGII , my hard drive died.

So now I've spent AGES modding it again (which is a real pain) and had to start all over again from the beginning of BG1, getting picked off my the weakest of foes.

Fair point, I still hear stories about the dreaded Red Ring...EVERYONE into gaming told me about when I bought my new 360 Lol...but yet few go on and on about Sony's alternative Yellow light situation.

Not too much is bugging me gamewise...the Game Gadget launch has to be frustrating those that have bought the thing though

Bloody over-tough RTS section on Brutal Legend (the 'bridge' bit, near the end). Was LOVING the game until that point, but have now abandoned it. It's one thing spending a couple of minutes to beat and lose against a boss in an arcade game, but to spend a good 15-30 minutes+ and then continually fail on an RTS bit, especially as it's not primarily the main gameplay element of an otherwise very high quality game, really is a frigging nark.

WHY did they even bother putting them in????! No f*cker even liked them, anyway!!!!! :x

That and the fact my second, 'reliable' phat PS2 has pretty much stopped reading blue discs, and a lot of PS2 games I've recently bought are on blue discs(!)

I got annoyed that (in Mass Effect) Liara came to my cabin instead of the far tastier Ashley.
I still porked her, obviously. But my mind was on other things.

A few years ago I put together my own MUGEN game; making my own intro, title screen, power bars, etc, as well as editing a lot of characters so that my game would be more balanced. Messing about with all those values and numbers was a source of much anger and frustration.

More recently, though, it's been ME3's ending.

The locks that the developer of Coinops for the XBOX keeps putting in place, the latest release has over 50gigs of unwanted bloat, all I want is arcade games but the developer insists on adding console and computer emulation... remove those games and the emulator refuses to run.. he's even gone as far as saying that anyone who tries to remove locks could have their HDDs wiped and eeproms wiped by code he's put into Coinops, as far as I can gather from reading various XBOX emulation scene websites the developer of Coinops seems to be a prize c0ck, he's definately put me off using his emulator, I really liked Coinops until I tried updating it to the latest version... 1 1/2 hour of un-rar followed by a overnight FTP transfer followed by a WTF!!?? followed by delete... censored idiotic paranoid sceners...
