Perhaps, not having played anything properly pre-BF3 (however I am told they were all fantastic, even 2142 which surprises me and I may have to track down a copy) I can't really say.

However will see what the next 3 expansions offer - Armoured Kill is definitely there for vehicle combat - 4 maps and 5 new vehicles.

We then have Aftermath with another 4 maps and 5 vehicles.

And then finally End game which apparently will have some jungle based combat similar to Vietnam (so perhaps harking to BC2's Vietnam expansion.)

So it may or may not be your cup of tea but it'll be fun finding out!

New maps are very COD so far, particularly Scrapmetal Which sounds like a COD style name) I do like Gunmaster mode even though that is straight up taken from COD. Not decided yet if I'm enjoying this pack.

I think that was the idea though - coming from a business perspective, whereas the other DLC will be more classic-battlefield/fan related. They gotta make their money somehow I guess!

Knew it was gonna be down this route, but hoped it would still have something for me (Like Rush mode). I am enjoying Gunmaster though, for now. At least I have assignments to do.

Double XP on all modes over the weekend. Typically im away. Keep meaning to get back into the multiplayer side of this but only give it a few hours every month or so before moving onto something else.

I loved battlefield 3 online but only when playing 3 mates at the same time.. otherwise it was boring.

Since playing Gears of War 3 and the amazingly good Max Payne 3 online I have absolutely no interest in BF3 anymore.

Plus EA can suck my fat one when it comes to their customer rinsing policies. Them and capcom can both f()ck off as until they improve their greedy, contemptuous ways I will never buy a new or downloadable product from them again.

Well I finished off all the premium assignments and got all the new guns - some good fun ones in there. Shall be utilising the weekend to finish off Recon and Scout Choppers and then all I have to do is unlock all the attachments for all the weapons....good stuff!
