I dunno, there could be a point where it gets interesting, which is to say, if anyone from the Big Three makes an idiot of themselves on stage. It's happened at E3 before, and it's usually completely hilarious.

True. Sony have become experts at this

Nintendo aren't bad at it either.
Two words - Wii Music.
Another two - Cammie Dunaway.

Good thing for them she's left really...

Smart Glass and Vita-to-PS3 control were hardly a surprise. Wii U and its Gamepad do look good.

But nothing in the games announced so far has really grabbed my attention.

Watched an E3 360 conference for the first time ever yesterday as I'm now a 360 owner (though for how long will be determined by Nintendo's showing at 5pm tonight). Too entertainment-based for my liking, and the games on display were for the most part not of any interest to me. I thought Forza Horizon and FIFA 13 looked great, but I wasn't blown away by anything else.

i don't bother with all the conferences i just look at the game trailers two stand outs for me are:

Hitman absolution-the first trailer with the police in the library i thought was very meh,but the latest one showing the classic Hitman gameplay has definitely upped its want level for me.also that saints trailer,i know it's not gameplay but that was awesome all it was missing was that "bad habit to break" song as soundtrack.

dishonoured-when i read the first preview about this game something stood out to me,the trailers says gameplay but it's mostly canned animations i hope this lives up to expectations.

You know i'm not a fan of Halo but 4 looks extremely good. It seemed fresh again, bit of thought into what was the mindless feel of Reach. Stunning visuals too.

See I actually thought Reach was the best Halo game to date, I was hugely skeptical of #4 (what with it not involving Bungie) but those 5 mins of play looked really solid. The idea of introducing Forerunners and seeing Cortana degrade and become unstable could make for a really interesting plot.

The only downfall they may run into would be it's obviously another trilogy, so would the ending be satisfactory or a blatant cliffhanger?

Either way I'll likely be buying another crapbox when #4 is released

Like I said before, Reach just felt dated in terms of visuals and game design. It was never tense just lots of big battles. Looking back, that is probably down to the co-op gameplay.

Would be nice to see a co-op game where you can get seperated for fairly large parts forcing you to go it alone and survive. Or in a jungle situation you could have one up high and one low down and one has to help the other up/down or across a bridge and so on.
Co-op gameplay is not realised to full potential.

Ive only seen the Microsoft presentation so far, but apart from all the yawn inducing Nike and App and Fifa crud there was some nice Resi Evil 6 footage, Halo 4 looked great and more Tombraider that looked good also, Black ops2 and Splinter Cell i shall reserve my judgement on.

IGN has a report on this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xB10vnHP ... re=g-all-u

Implementing tablet functionality while you're playing games? I'd expected MS or Sony to start looking at ways of countering WiiU at some point, but kudos to MS for doing it before the WiiU is even released. I assume this kind of functionality isn't going to work with the iPhone or iPad though - any attempt to make Apple and Microsoft hardware talk to each other is surely going nowhere.

Nintendo will be happy with the day so far - I think WiiU needs a year of running unopposed if it's to gain some real traction, so the lack of sudden surprise announcements for Xbox720 or PS4 will be heartening. The fact that there still seems to be nothing to show surely means they're a minimum of 18 months away.

Considering everybody expected mega announcements from all three companies hardware-wise and tons of games, I have to say that from reading the E3 news on websites, it's like the show never even happened :? . I used to love E3 for being bombarded by loads of big announcements but not this year it seems. Disappointing.

No mention of Retro Studios' game yet, saving it until last or will it be shown at the 3DS conference?

That Ubisoft Zombie game looks pretty fun, I quite like the integration with the Wii U pad, assuming ofcourse the gameplay stays fresh and doesn't end up really repetitive. The Wii U pad actually looks a bit more comfortable to use compared to everything I've seen so far. I'm still not sold on it though, I want them to announce some more "unique" games to warrant a purchase.
