New Mario U and Pikmin 3 would be must buys for me, Lego City Undercover looked fun too.

But underwhelmed though, was hoping for at least one big surprise title from Retro Studios.

I'd be excited for Mario Bros U if Nintendo hadn't released NSMB Wii not to long ago and weren't releasing NSMB2 soon. It has a few nice additions and I'm sure I'll get it but its a bit of overkill for what will mainly be the same game with different levels yet again.

Pretty unimpressed by the complete lack of other announcements though, I was hoping to see loads of Wii U games announced but unless I missed them all I didn't really see that many, and even less were the number I'd be interested in buying. Nintendo Land seems like a good idea of a pack in game ala Wii Sports but I can't see me spending that much time on it.

To be fair they never said there would be one, but yeah we know Retro by their own admission are working on something that people want, maybe it's just not ready to show. It could also be a 3DS game to be announced tomorrow but if it was a big title you'd think they'd have announced it today.

That was all potential and no games. Disappointing.

Was expecting the Nintendo conference to kill it but meh, pretty average to be honest for what should have been a huge blowout after last years reveal!

And another E3 goes by without the hint of an F zero, starfox or metroid ... sigh

In defense though, that Luiguis Mansion mini game will probably be very fun if online

So apart from a karaoke game named Sing (that's being developed by FreeStyle Games) did Ninty have any new IP of their own on show?

Nintendo Land sort of is, although it does use familiar characters.

I missed seeing the video stream but have since read NintendoLand will be a collection of twelve mini-games.

They should just bloody get somebody else on the case like Sega since they did such a great job with GX, one of the best Gamecube games in my opinion. I loved that game and hoped there'd be a Wii sequel but no :(

For me, the only real disappointment came from what it had to follow (that being E3 2010 and 2011). True, I wasn't a fan of the conference itself: karaoke, fitness and dance games just aren't aimed at E3's audience of fanatical gamers, so why display them during that particular hour? Actually, I assume that's because Nintendo weren't ready or confident to show the inevitable new versions of Zelda, Metroid or other games from their most-beloved franchises yet...maybe that's why we were inflicted with the likes of Just Dance 4 and Sing.

That aside, I found plenty to be getting on with. Yes, I'd have prefered a Wii U-exclusive version of Tekken, I'd have liked soomething from SEGA that wasn't that Aliens game and I feel Mass Effect 3 will be wasted on a console that lacks it's prequels, but I'm quite happy with what else is on the way.
