To be absolutely honest, when I wrote this thread I had an expectation that the majority of us would come down quite heavily on Microsoft's "skulduggery" but it's obvious that's not the case. I guess that was my own knee-jerk reaction. Publisher bad! Developer Good!

I suppose it doesn't help that the game's Developer comes across as a bullish and mouthy individual to some, and I personally didn't know that Microsoft gave people a "free" Patch (why would I? I'm not a developer. :oops: :cry: ) and apparently gives studios so much support.

As a consumer I just see the end result. When a Dev gets on his high horse and whines that is all I'll probably get to see. Plus fan reaction being what it is it's obvious how quick it can get out of hand. Even still, I suppose Microsoft must be using the cost to "prevent" Developers becoming lazy and releasing buggy games on their system? Since there's no real cost on PC, some games appear to be getting patch after patch after patch after patch....
