Pretty neat. Wonder if it'd be possible to change the colour in the horizontal to give just a little more detail to the platforms by having the odd alternate line colour? Not quite a brick effect but might be workable within the limitation of the hardware.

Very impressive. The sprite is really well done and it looks like it controls fairly well.

Nah, I hate platformers.

Saw this a couple of days ago, very impressive - especially the sprites and music.

What is it about the sound on the VCS that makes certain sound effects sound so awesome?

Also, how do you jump and shoot fireballs with just one joystick button? :?

I checked the link and apparently:

Move left or right to move left or right.
Press the fire button to jump.
Press Up to run and to shoot fireballs if you are FireMario.
Press Down to duck or to go down an open pipe.


Now that's a bit weird.
