I nearly ended this 'quest' in China. 57 laps or whatever done, up into 4th in my Williams, gearbox breaks. Possibly the most frustating moment of gaming I've ever experienced!

In the first few seconds of starting Splatterhouse, I thought "Oh No..." as the game just seemed to be loads of combos and it went all black and white and was practically impossible to tell what was going on....but it seems that I was a bit hasty, and once it started up proper it got a lot better. Only done the first couple of levels, but my favourite bit so far was when the screen switched to a 2D viewpoint and I had to dodge pendulums and spikes whilst fighting baddies with a 2x4....proper Splatterhouse stuff, and I reckon they could have quite easily have made the whole game like this! A proper 2D reboot! Still, it looks like I'll have a lot of fun with this one......
Shadows Of The Damned is just plain groovy though! Feeding strawberries to doors, shooting goat's heads for light sources, drinking Tequila for health, decapitating demons...I've only just started, but already this is one of my new favourite games! It'll have to do something pretty damned awful for me stop liking it...hopefully there'll be no shockingly difficult bosses or annoying jumping bits to deal with.....

Standard dynasty warriors stuff, notably that complicated when it comes to gameplay - just beat the crap out of anyone that gets in your way. The gameplay feels slower compared to other warriors titles but after a few levels I get used to that. The game seems to get better the more you level up your character as the more powerful combos and super moves can decimate groups of enemies in spectacular fashion

I like the Warriors series and was really looking forward to this, but after watching the anime i didnt think the game was violent enough. everything just seems to just "pink mist" instead of heads exploding, brains all over the place etc.... perhaps it was just the demo that was a little tame?
