Put a lot more time into Street Fighter X Tekken and I'm actually enjoying it now :) . The bits that grate with me are still present (re-use of SFIV graphics, useless Pandora system etc.) but I'm enjoying it for what it is despite the game still not being quite what I was hoping.

I've been discovering the classic Tekken combos hidden away as what would be regular combos in Street Fighter so that's pretty cool. I've been playing a lot of Kazuya, Heihachi and Nina so despite the Capcom style, I'm still using the same characters that I do in Tekken  . Also started using Poison who I quite like despite her pretty basic moveset.

Been having a go with the colour editor too after downloading the free expansions. Made Akuma glow a badass bright blue with a white gi/hair.

Some of the DLC costumes look mighty enticing but I don't want to feed the beast (Capcom) by buying them...ugh. I mean, they're only 79p each so I could just pick out the ones I really want but still...

Played Blood Will Tell on PS2 last night....

Not a bad game so far... Love all the different demons...and the fact you can look at them all closely in the Encyclopedia in the main menu! I reckon all games should have a gallery where you can look at the character models..or at least the ones where you only sometimes get a fleeting glimpse of the baddies... :)

Yeah, i've heard Toki's playthrough is pretty tough from the get go. do you know if exp caries from character to character? That way I can play through other peoples stages and use the gained EXP on Toki.
Unfortunately each characters experience is tied to them individually, I would say however that challenge mode which is unlocked after completing the game as KEN is a great way to level up just because of the sheer amount of enemies thrown at you and experience you gain.

D'oh, there goes that plan! I'll be giving challenge mode a go this weekend then as it sounds fun. Plus I'm still trying to grind for the kills achievements anyway!

After playing WWF No Mercys storyline mode for a bit I remember why I never play story mode.

Just played through The Walking Dead on XBLA....

Really good point-and-click style game, where the decisions you make have an effect on the way the game plays out...this is just Episode 1 and the others will be available for download later....

I'm currently glued to Reccetear: An Item Shop's Tale. Very addictive game with an absolutely brutal difficulty (80,000 in the third week, seriously?! D:)

Currently playing Hellbender on the PC. Finally got this working properly. Even using the same old Microsoft Sidewinder 3D Pro I used the first time round. :)

Tried out Hot Pixel on the PSP last night. Just a Warioware clone but less enjoyable and more frustrating. Made me laugh though when there was a microgame to do some sort of gangsta handshake and upon completing it, a voice goes "Yo! Wassup?"

Don't think I'll be playing it again though so it's another one for the (not literaly speaking of course) bin.

Also, more Street Fighter X Tekken. I got properly addicted to it yesterday which is a good sign and a welcome thing after my initial apathy towards the game. Had Ogre's remixed Tekken 3 theme in my head all bloody day now

Breath of Fire 3 on PS1.

I like the way the battles flow seamlessly from the area map and some of the spells and effects look great. The 2d sprites look fantastic too. I am finding it a bit slow however and the isometric camera is a pain inside buildings.

I got really far into that back in the day, really good game overall but I got stuck and not sure if I can stomach it now.

Colin Mcrae Dirt for the PC. Pretty much exactly what I hoped it would be, the main rallying races are still as good as ever and the other events (like Rallycross and Hill Climbs) add a bit of variety to game. The difficulty selection is also a welcome option, so I can alter it per race depending on the event or course. Its right up there with Rallysport 2 as one of my favourite rally games.

I’ve been playing a bit of this recently: 1983’s Congo Bongo by Sega. This was originally an arcade title, and I’ve read that there are a shed load of versions of this game for many of the various early console systems and 8-bit computers of the time. The version I’ve been attempting to tackle though is the one for Sega’s own SG-1000.

The protagonist has no attack moves, nor are there any weapons to use, so jumping to avoid enemies is the players only self defence. The jumping feels a little ropey, but it works well enough that you can easily plough through the level after a few practice shots to master the controls. The level is complete when the player reaches the top of the screen and catches the gorilla.

Playing Alex Kidd & the enchanted castle for megadrive. Love it, not as good as miracle world, but such a simple platformer with some great music ,vehicles and games like rock paper scissors. =)
