I would love to see Nintendo smash out as many 64 and DD tracks onto Mario Kart 7 as possible. That would be amazing and DLC I would buy.

Yup! All courses from all previous games, £5 per set. I'd be happy enough to pick them up!

Rayne wrote:I spent a solid 3 hours with SFxT today, going through all of the tutorials, learning characters moves, etc etc. It's just not a fun game to play. It seems like you never get a chance to properly fight because there's constant character switching, pandora whatsits, charged ultras, cross assaults, etc etc etc etc etc.

The only way I can describe it is that it plays a LOT more like the hideous MVC3 that it does the sublime Tekken Tag. I can stand one or two rounds in local play but that's my limit.

Playing online? I've only played offline extensively and I can say that the CPU rarely use anything other than standard Ultra's. Only ever seen Pandora used once by a CPU (defeated them really quickly too) and the gems are easily ignorable. I agree there's too much going on but I'm still enjoying it in general.

It won't be anything like Tekken Tag because 2D and 3D fighters play a lot differently aside from their visual direction. I don't think MvC3 was hideous either; not as good as what came before certainly but it was a fun game that suffered from having crap single-player content.

Just been playing that Crazy Golf World Tour (PS2) that i picked up the other day. It cost a quid and i think i may have overpaid

What a truly, truly awful game. The graphics make your eyes bleed, then reach back and try to strangle your brain for making you look at the screen, the views are pitiful as you try to work out ball angle and positioning etc. The swing meter is so abysmal it almost bought me to tears (honestly), along with the delay after you execute the command, making the timing of shots against moving obstacles a game of complete guesswork and pretty much impossible. The sound isn't so bad, no worse than listening to...oooh, i dunno, a nagging wife. Then the piece de la resistance is the looooooaaaaaaaddddddding time between every. single. dreadful. awful. nauseous. pathetic. hole.

I wanted to chew the power cable while it was still plugged in.

Having said all that, i'll be keeping it for my golf collection. :D

Buy it if you want, but don't say you haven't been warned

Stunt Race FX - I remember it being a big thing at the time, and getting very good reviews, but now seems to have been forgotten about. In a way it's a shame, since it has a lot of charm and a lot of effort was put in to it. Problem was that I think they were just being a bit too ambitious and trying for something the SNES couldn't really do. The consequence is a very choppy frame rate, and graphics where it isn't always clear what's going on. Therefore it only has limited appeal

Repaid the debt in Pikmin 2 on the Wii today, but still loads more to do it seems. Cracking game, wish I hadn't overlooked the Pikmin games when they first came out but I'm really not into RTS games, however Pikmin is fab.

I'm having a post-ME2 slump.

Bulletstorm I know I should like, but I just can't get into it for some reason. It seems too, well, shallow :?
Tonight I started playing another 360 game, FEAR, which I've been aching to pay for yonks. Quite enjoying it, but the graphics are awful for a current gen game, they remind me of a few original xbox games like Call of Cthulhu. It's an old school FPS too.

Hopefully Sel Feena and ME3 will alleviate my ennui...

FEAR doesn't look too hot when stood up against recent FPS offerings but it's just showing its age, it was released in 2005 and ported to the 360 not long after. A lot of the earlier FPS on the 360 are looking a bit long in the tooth now. I played Rainbow Six Vegas recently and it looked seriously ropey in places.

Now you mention it, I had FEAR Files last year, and it looked atrocious. Everything was....well....squashed. And it was awful to play.
Saying that, Prey still looks fantastic, especially with the Portal mechanic. And it came out in 2006.

I really could not get into FEAR at all. Walk down samey corridors, fight samey enemies and keep getting blown up by grenades that are almost impossible to see.

Very much a traditional FPS then really.

I thought FEAR and FEAR Files were ok. They're very straightforward games, not big on gimmicks or set pieces. Even the slo-mo ability seemed generic when I played them, the only nod to gimmicky play the games have. Sometimes a game that doesn't throw new things at you every five minutes and just gets on with it can feel a bit fresh in these times of overblown plots and huge dramatic boss fights etc. I thought FEAR 2 was a lesser game because it went the way of Call Of Duty on that score.

FEAR also has some genuinely creepy moments.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 Xbox
Just unlocking characters is tedious

Still Zangeif is bloody good and stupidly cheap with his spinning clothes line into final atomic buster

ME2-found it a bit boring at first but now the storyline has picked up and i've got some decent weapon upgrades really enjoying it.also been playing some puzzle bobble on MAME not usually my type of game but found it very addictive even if i am using a lot of credits.
