Angry birds and "good" dont go in the same sentence, unless its typed thus
"Good god Angry birds is awful"

Starsky and Hutch in two player.
Ok this is nothing like Lucky and Wild, the screen flashes a hell of a lot it makes the game annoying for the driver

Started New Super Mario Bros. on DS and it's left me a bit cold to be honest. There's nothing essentially wrong with it and the controls are tight but it just feels very soulless and by-the-numbers. Also, the 3D models in a 2D platformer just look cheap and lazy.

It's not a bad game by any means but I'm struggling to see why it achieved such high review scores. I'll keep plugging at it for a bit to see if it picks up or not.

Oh, that feeling never really goes away. Soulless is the best word to describe it.

Have to say , my love for some things has definitely been lost. Or maybe I just dont have to make do with what I have any more.

Shadow Warriors by Ocean , I am looking at you...

On another note , would love to have seen Hammerfist updated or re-used - still quite enjoying it even now.

No worries mate :) Make sure you play 3D Deathchase. Its still as good as it ever was, barring the awful sound effects.

Still getting to grips with the control mapping - tried to play Dark Star and very nearly cried with frustration. However , now ive figured it out on a few of my more played games , im getting to grips with it.

So now , currently playing Star Raiders 2 - understanding it better as a grown up ( ahem ) than as a kid when i played it loads thanks to a covertape from one of the mags.

Also enjoying Rise of the Triad and to a lesser degree Beats of Rage (and some of its mods) on DC before settling onto a bit of M vs C 2 and Propeller Arena.

If only I had an opponent , my boy enjoys Prop arena and MvsC2 but i need a more mature opponent.

Oh and 3d Deathchase is still a great laugh , as well as some Midnight Resistance , Chase Hq and Rainbow Islands goodness. Might have another go at things like Dark Side and Total Eclipse now.

If a game has a Kempston option, i always opt for that for the control settings. Dunno why really, i guess its cos i had one back in the day. :) Any probs mate, you only have to give me a shout. I hate seeing a grown man cry

Been playing Kirby Mass Attack on the DS.

Interesting game. I didn't know what it was like so was expecting it to be like Epic Yarn so was surprised when it wasn't but still enjoying playing it.

Super Mario 3D Land: Already beat all the Special Worlds as Luigi, now I'm playing through them as Mario to unlock some brutal bonus level.

Ridge Racer 3D: A fun portable version of Ridge Racer. Finally opened up Category 3 Races, where the cars are even faster and the AI puts up much more of a fight.

Well I'm up to the third world now and the challenge is ramping up (especially with getting those star coins) so I'm enjoying it more but it's still not as incredible as some reviews made out at the time. Solid but not memorable like the old NES/SNES games.

Which Arc? The first?

Currently playing Castlevania Portrait of Ruin and Zelda Twilight Princess.

Both superb to play but the motion control on TP was a stupid choice as it does nothing to enhance like SS does.
