Super Amazing Wagon Adventure, on XBLIG. It's sort of a cross between The Oregon Trail and a shmup, and every bit as demented as that sounds.

I did smile when I saw you were playing that earlier. :D

Hopefully the very excellent Ocean Drive Challenge brought some normality back into your life.

The Dragons Trap? One of the greatest games of all time and the single greatest game on the SMS. Superb game.

Yeah, that and Invasion, a run and gun game that's trying to be Contra. It fails miserably, but is still good.

Finished all of the first eight worlds 100% in Super Mario 3D Land and I've just completed the second of the secret worlds. I'm really liking how some of the secret levels are 'remixes' of the regular versions and how some are completely different :) . I thought the game was a bit short and wasn't expecting so much extra content after the credits!

Yes buddy, I was unfortunate to not play past the first Wonderboy (although technically not a wonderboy now)as a child, so I have been lucky to acquire them all now, and they are indeed amazing. In particular the music! My lord, its amazing, I kept going back to certain areas of the game, just to hear certain songs.

I don't care what anyone says, the master system had better sounds and songs than the NES. This game would be a key example :)

Gave Brink a try today.
In a generation that's seen a large amount of seriously generic and dull first person online shooters it takes something special to stand out as the dullest but Brink pulls it off for me. The game is rancid. It's also a fine example of publishers dumbing down and simplifying for the COD market. The developers, Splash Damage, gave us the brilliant Enemy Territory: Quake Wars and Brink shares some of that game's gameplay and objectives. It's like comparing a banquet feast with a microwave roast dinner for one though. There are better online multiplayer experiences available on XBLA for 1200 microsoft points or less (Section 8: Prejudice, Monday Night Combat, Gotham City Imposters). I can't believe Brink even got a release at all, let alone a full retail one. What a stinker.

Wonderboy 3 is the ONLY SMS game I have on my 'must play before I die' list - nothing against the SMS but I see no other games on that system worh ploughing weeks into. Suggestions welcomed.

Yep, completed it several times on the SMS when younger but playing it on my PSP SMS emulator? I had to use a couple of save states    :D Still a game I play every couple of months. A real shame it wasn't included in the XBLA release the other month :( would have been an instant buy for me

Dungeons of Dredmore for utter cheapness in the Steam Indie sale. Couple quid for a game and an expansion (plus a free expansion on top of that) is class!

Plus the game's turning out to be really funny too, in a self-aware style.

Breath of Death VII: The Beginning. It's an RPG on XBLIG, and a bit of a parody of 8 bit jrpgs. It's also quite good.

Just been giving Uncharted 3 a workout. Apart from having to wait 20 minutes for it to update and install, i've been enjoying myself. I loved the punch up at the beginning and the flashback to Nate as a kid in Columbia...wasn't expecting that. I have high hopes for this one! :D
