Although the DS version is so horribly bugged and broken that it's really not worth buying if you like the idea of actually getting anywhere in it.

SOUL BUBBLES

One of the best games I have played in YEARS. So much charm, so many good ideas, all beautifully put together.

The game I've played most is 42 games in 1, seriously entertaining and cheap, worth the entry price alone for the mean game of Hanafuda the game plays.

Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time is really rather good.

Playing this one this week. Its okay, very well put together, nice to look at, but its not quite grabbing me. Production wise its above average, quite excellent even, but the gameplay I'm finding quite samey very quickly.

And I don't like the lead character.

I think its maybe just me though. I expected more of it as its been hyped.

Yoshi's Island DS. Fantastic sequel to a fantastic game. Trying to get all the character coins, red coins and flowers to unlock all the secret levels is an epic challenge that will last you weeks, if not months. And then the secret levels themselves are as tough as old boots.

I enjoyed Resi Evil on the DS too, they've added some interesting bits to it but kept all the cheesy voice acting and FMV from the original :D

The problem is that certain things that are supposed to happen in the game don't, which means it's literally impossible to complete certain stages.

I've played the PC game extensively and loved it, so would have considered getting this. What is actually missing then, craig? The catapult?

EuroGamer's review covers most of the problems with the game. Bear in mind that even with a 1/10 score, I think they over-rated it.

Personally, Pokemon Diamond, Sonic Rush and Mario Kart DS are the games to go for.

Meteos is a fun little puzzle game, and quite addictive.
Also have to recommend Another Code and Hotel Dusk, though the former is quite short.

Oh yes, and Zelda Phantom Hourglass of course. It uses the DS's touch screen features in absolutely genius ways, and the puzzles will impress ya, its just a really good adventure to get stuck into.

The Sonic Rush games are both good too, but I would say that :P (die-hard Sonic fan here)

Wow. That's possibly the most damning review I've ever read. Don't think I'll be picking this title up!

Maybe I'll try Anno 17whatever or Age of Empires. Anybody played these?

Please make sure you buy Puzzle Quest! It's basically a simple RPG that uses puzzles for the battles. It might not sound all that great if you read about the mechanics of the game, but for some reason this just works so well and you will not be able to put it down. Great game.

Definately get Elite Beat Agents, not only is it one of the best DS games but it is one of the best games ever made on any platform. Jump Ultimate Stars rocks too especially on multiplayer, but it's Japan only.
