Any chance of adding forum rankings?
You know those where you are a newbie until you have 10 posts, then you rise up the ranks with the number of posts you have. Sure you could come up with Retro Gamey type rankings.

Ugh. I hate those things for one reason: every forum I post on that has rankings is full of one word posts, one smilie posts, pointless and shitty little threads, and all manner of complete and utter half-arsed bilge posted by idiots who think that having the highest ranking is something important.

I agree. Post count envy is a sad sad thing. It generally adds nothing to the user experiences of most members.

I see nothing wrong with forum rankings, if someones main object is to increase their 'virtual' status by posting single word responses, you should only feel sorry for them.
You're always going to get a negative side to something because of minorities in this case, by not adding something like this, who's the winner, surely it just adds a little bit of fun to the forum.
I'm also pretty sure that posts counts can be reset via the back door using PHP, it would be an interesting threat.
