I was never a fan of the Bananaman lollies, just didn't like them at all.

Yes! Although I'm sure the ones I had were in black packaging but yeah, those are the things. Mmm...

I can still taste those right now...
Home & Bargain usually get them in around this time of year (right??) - I'd best check, and buy every last one of them if that's the case.

1st post in the forum :-)

Banana Bubbles, Banana Bubbles, the cereal that thinks its a milkshake! God I miss them!

Also does anyone remember Mountain Dew the UK release brand (I know they have it in USA and that we have Mountain Dew Energy).

And what about Nestles Vice-Versa's the sugar coated white chocolate and milk chocolate (The white chocolate would have a brown shell and the 'Vice Versa' :D )

Anyone tried Frosties lately? They used to be reasonably sized, maybe slightly bigger than a packet of Polos, now they've shrunk massively both in length and girth. It's almost like they're turning back into baby Frosties, ten years from now they'll fit comfortably on the head of a pin.

Got to say I miss the old, 'massive' Wham bars, they're just pitiful 'strips' these days with a distinct lack of sherbety zones. :(

On a non-sweet vibe, I still love the fact you can still buy Vesta Beef Risotto (Poundland!) and it *still* tastes the way it did in the 80s (ie. really processed and absolutely delicious!!!) :D

The Robert Opie museum in Notting Hill has an excellent selection of old school food packinging on display and is well worth a visit...

They were awesome...used to get the best minty smell in the world when you opened the box!

I miss Savory Straws crisps and Cadbury's Secret bars.....can't find any images for the straws, but found Secret...

Oh, and with regard to the Jelly sweets...Slurps or something they were called....I can remember He-Man ones! I used to keep the packaging and try to make homemade jelly using them as moulds...usually pretty unsuccessfully...

Hello Mr/Ms Scolly :)

Mountain Dew is alive and well - we sell a dozen or so a day in my shop. And people always tell me that Vice-Versas are "back", but I've yet to see any evidence of that!

I was gutted when they stopped doing peanut butter Kit Kat Chunkies. When I found out that production had been ceased (to be replaced by caramel ones), I took all the peanut-butter ones off the shelves and hid them behind the counter. What a bastard!

Hey, (Its Mr by the way :))

You have Mountain Dew as in the UK Release???? or American or Energy brand? If you have the UK Brand, how long has that been sold??

Vice Versas were my absolute favourite as a kid and I too have been told that they are back but still yet to see any in shops?
