More interesting than the current packaging, certainly!

:D

I vaguely recalled the original Space Raiders pack but could never find anybody else who remembered it so thanks for that! Nice to know that pack design really did exist. Weren't the crisps themselves a triangle shape as opposed to the alien heads in the current packs?

As mentioned earlier in the thread, the Fish 'n Chips/Chicken 'n Chips crisps were always the best. Many years ago I looked around online and found that Burton had discontinued them due to poor sales. I saw a petition to bring them back somewhere else too but nothing materialised :(

Crisp packets looked ace back in the day unlike the boring things we have today. Still, in 2012 I guess it would be considered un-PC to have unhealthy snacks with packaging that appeals to kids

Yep, you can see the triangle-shaped ones in the comic on the back of the packet :D

Had a couple of massive pallets of 're-released' crisps come into the warehouse today: Wotsits Waffles (Bacon flavour) and Smiths Twists (flaming hot flavour). I've had the waffles from a bargain store not so long ago but don't remember either of them from 'back in the day'.

Right, that's the original Real Ghostbusters crisps, but they changed after about a year or so to "Maize" snacks, a much puffier crisp. I preferred the originals.

"French Fries" when they were in a Rectangle-Shaped packet? Lovely.

Anyone remember "Frisps" as well? The S&V flavour (Blue packet) were absolutely gorgeous!

That Bowie-inspired packet of SR's brings back many a memory!

You can still get them. Morrisons and ASDA sell the multipacks but they can be pricy for very few packets inside. The Cheese & Onion one is my favourite bu far. I think they're much better/different compared to regular crisps because - as far as I know - they're made from mashed potato as opposed to slices of potato.
