Went to a booty sunday that is right next to my old house but for some reason I'd never managed to go while I was there. £3 for the following: loose Megadrive mk1 & cables, 6 loose MD games, 2 loose master system games, a 6 button MD controller, 4 3 button md controllers, MS controller with the dpad missing and a couple of playstation games. He was asking £3 for the box -there were a few other bits of tat in there that I gave back to him, but for some insane reason I chucked out a massive bag of star wars tazos

I'm also regretting not fishing out a empty mint condition megadrive box with bags/instructions etc out of a skip by work last week, as I I'd no use for it at the time.

Does anyone go to the Exeter Racecourse Carboot?
All the ones in Plymouth are hopeless, nothing but Current Gen games and bloody clothes :(
Looking a little further afield in the hope of a good days picking :)

You want to look out for car boots that say they don't allow traders. Theres quite a few in Sheffield that ban them, and its always a much nicer experience in general.

While a ton of traders is never a good thing, some of my best gaming purchases have been from traders at carboots so it's swings and roundabouts.

I don't think they're worth anything so don't worry :) . I have the complete set in the binder and when I last checked out of curiosity, there was no value to it.

I actually used to have some spares but I binned 'em years ago  The irritating thing was that the back few pages had tazos that could only be gotten in packets of Doritos. Luckily I had a relative who ate loads of Walkers crisps so I got them all eventually :D

I used to collect them as a kid so it would have stirred some memories to just look through them. I even had a pickled onion monster munch tazo case, wonder where that is now?

I have all my pogs and tazos in a 1970s Pac Man lunchbox on top of my kitchen cupboard :D

I think the rarest one I had was a Walkerman Tazo which you only got by going up to a creepy guy Walkers put round shopping centres...God knows where that one is now :(

Was going to do a carboot tomorrow, but i ended up going today as the dog woke me up early. Here's what i found :) :

Image
Gametrak Motion control thingy for PS2. I've seen the games before but never seen the accessory. New and unused. £2.50

Image
I remember having this exact model cassette player rigged up to my speccy 48k back in the day. Bought in a fit of nostalgia. I've tried it...its absolutely minty fresh and works perfectly. £1

Image
A few PS2 games. Very pleased to have found Destroy All Humans 2. Been on the lookout for that. £1 each

Image
LAN adapter for the Wii. I don't need it atm, but it was like new and more importantly, cheap. £2

Image
AITD Ltd Ed. All complete. The outer box is tatty but the all the innards are mint. £5

Image
Couple of DS games i liked the look of. £7 the pair

Image
A nice tribal SP and obligatory pokemon game. Few outer case scratches but nothing major. £4

I walked away from an Amiga A600 as i don't know anything about them and had little interest. Had a few games and joystick and all necessary cables. It was a tenner. It was gone about 15 minutes later, so i guess someone got a bargain? Also walked away from a mint boxed MD1 for £20 (with half a dozen games). There was a lot of stuff about this morning, far more than i normally see.

Also bought some YuGiOh cards for my son and some watercolour paints for my daughter. All in all, an enjoyable trip in the sunshine :D

First ever try on the Saturday ones around Coventry

First one i went to in Ryton On Dunsmore was pretty good. Picked up a big pile of WWE DVDS that were all a £1 each. Also got Starblade for the PS1 whcih ive never seen or heard of before but looks kind of shooty so will fire that up tonight. Also got a couple of Xbox pads and quite a bit of fishing stuff.

Now normally ill go round a carboot twice before leaving but today i broke my golden rule in order to get to two other sales in Rugby and Coleshill. Imagine how pissed off i was to turn up at them to find them both not on. Turns out i wasn't the only person who'd gone to them, there was quite alot of annoyed people.

On closer inspection at home, the PS1 console also came with the Gamers Movie Card hardware add on with av/scart output, which Im chuffed about.

My question is, does anyone have any info on this peice of hardware? more importantly, can it play backups. I've heard it can, and I hope it can

Have a look here:
http://www.sasakiuk.u-net.com/

If its anything like the password card cartridges I have, you flick the switch on the cart, insert a proper PS1 disc (so it reads the copy protection code from it), then it'll go to a boot menu and stop the disc spinning so you can swap it for a backup or NTSC game. The boot menu will give options as to how to boot.

Not sure if all of those video cards do the same thing, looking at that link there's only some that mention cheat code functions, but its possible that they all have the disc swap ability.
