Super 8. Its alright, not the spectacular I expected so a bit of a let down. Good movie, just a kids one of the type I never really liked even as a kid (see also The Goonies, Flight of the Navigator, ET etc).

^Same here, watched it last night and was impressed, but not overly so. Definitely had shades of Stand by Me, Goonies etc. The ending was a bit of an anti climax. Worth a watch though.

Man crashed small pickup head-on into a massive armoured train travelling at high speed, looks like he's just bumped his motor reversing into a space at Tesco...

Not the greatest, it's no Flight of the Navigator that's for sure!

Got rounded to watching a bit of stuff first off.

Chronical

Saw this had quite a few reviews on IMDB so gave it a shot only 84 mins in length, Nothing really new here 3 kids find they develop powers one of them is the introvert one is the sportstar etc you get the drift.
Movie starts quiet well bit of building of the characters bit of background so on and so forth, then they make there find bit of banter then one goes off the rails,
Seemed to me to be a story of a movie short dragged out to 84 mins, could of been so much better with more background on the 3 leads but maybe that wasnt the market they were trying to hit.

Avengers

Not really much to say other than good fun movie Iron man gets all the best lines the CGI for hulk was rather good (as still looked bit like the actor) Just dont go with the wife as mine drooled over THOR for the entire flick :)

I finished off season 4 of 'Damages'. Hmm, pretty good. It still is some way behind the first two seasons though. It means that I now have to wait a whole year for season 5.

Indeed. I thought that one would go on & on. Quite sad reading this list of cancelled/renewed shows.

Glad that Castle, The Mentalist, Hawaii 5-0, Body of Proof, Fringe, Blue Bloods, Bones, Touch, Criminal Minds & the other two CSIs have been renewed.

2 Broke Girls got renewed. Hhmm... (couldn't stand it myself)

Not surprised about CSI Miami being cancelled as it's been rumoured for the past couple of years that one of them would be going, though I would have thought that it would have been New York first to go.

Goodbye to Jason Isaacs.

I can't believe Touch is renewed while Awake is cancelled.

Indeed, I even preferred Alcatraz (also cancelled) to Touch. I hear 30 Rock is getting the axe as well. :(

Touch is just so... sweet. It has these cute little stories that all tie up at the end. It makes me sick! And that kid's voice is so irritating. Actually, everything about that kid irritates the censored out of me. And then there's the scenes with Danny Glover and Kiefer Sutherland... I haven't heard that much tense whispering since the Mitchell brothers left Eastenders.

[edit] Actually, that page reckons 30 Rock was renewed *whew*

Ah, quite gutted Alcatraz has been cancelled. I thought it was quite entertaining escapist fluff. Nothing too taxing on the brain. Plus the girl is very attractive to watch!

Was disappointed when they cancelled the Chicago Code as well.

finally got round to watching Disney UP last night.

Charming little film and has one of the best opening sequences I've seen for a long time, from boy hood to grumpy old man, Disney dealt with it in a grown up mature way, especially the little scene where you assume they cant have kids and when his wife dies (not a spoiler so don't worry).

Thoroughly enjoyed it.
