Catching up on Touch. Now I see why the audience has dwindled. What a load of censored.

The whole show is based on coincidences and it gets old very quickly. The kid's voice is irritating and the nonsense he reads every episode is just psuedo-scientific psuedo-religious hippy bullshit. The way the doctor woman resets to being a sceptic between episodes beggars belief.

What a load of tripe.

Been catching up on CSI season 12. Only five more episodes left, and it's not a bad series. Ted Danson seems to fit in well with the rest of the cast. I do feel he does a better job than Laurence Fishburne, although I thought he was ok.

Fantastic film though it's amazing how a series that started off with a vengeful murderer at a summer camp ends with an unstoppable killer in space with a metal armour makeover  . Still great stuff but it shows just how different the later films are compared with the original's intentions.

That's the whole Friday the 13th series watched in order now and I'm hoping to crack open the remake later tonight.

Dont forget about Freddy versus Jason. :)

Already got that one and I've watched it a fair few times as well :)

Watched the Friday the 13th remake last night and it was quite good. Jason is synomonous with the series so I can see why they chose to use him straight away rather than repeating the original film and having his mother as the killer again. Very brutal deaths and a darker tone that harks back to the very first films.

Also picked up Johnny English Reborn from ASDA and watched that too. Started off thinking it was boring but it turned out to be hilarious and just as good as the original. I did go with the intention of getting Horrible Bosses but it was practically the only DVD out of stock in the entire display

Watched Drive last night. Very good but I wasn't expecting so much gore (the scene where the main character stamps a guy's head into mush was pretty...ugh). I suppose I expected more driving too so all in all, it was very different to my expectations but still a very likeable film.

Just watched Olivier Marchal's MR 73 yesteday, good french-noir-style movie, good actors... part of a very interesting trilogy. As for tv series, I have to catch up with Game of Thrones, excellent series on every aspect... and I'm not a fan of the fantasy genre.

I thought the rooftop chase was brilliant. Along with the bit in the helicopter. Much better than the original.

Watched Hancock tonight, was ok but a bit of a mess.

Also in the last few days I've caught up with five episodes of The Good Wife which finished off the current season and also watched the second episode of Deadwood.

Is anyone watching Hell on Wheels on TCM? It's not usually the sort of show that I'd watch, but I quite enjoyed the first episode.

Unfortunately, I missed that this had started, so I am going to have to wait for the repeat. It is Western serial(similar to Deadwood - from the looks of it).

I watched the last two episodes of 'Touch' last night. Not sure how long the producers can string out this 'everything is connected storyline'. It seems to be faltering. Much like Mr. Kring's 'Heroes' did after the first season.

I then watched more of 'Justified' .

After having it sat on the shelf for nearly a year now, I finally made a start on The Matrix Trilogy DVD set. I've seen all these before like everybody else on the planet and thankfully, the original is still a class film. I've also got a sealed copy of The Animatrix...worth watching?

haywire-dubbed as a bourne type film which it is,only nowhere near as good.where the bourne films have a gritty kind of feel with it's shaky cams this one feels like they have gone for beautiful scenery which has made it sort of boring, and there are far too many cuts (?) during the fight scenes so that it doesn't flow right.it starts out so well with the diner scene but goes downhill from there,a good idea badly executed.
