hey all. Names Matt. 27, australia. Started out with a Amstrad but was too young to know what model or anything else about it aprt from running the games. Currently building onto my collection that consists of atari 2600, mega drive, super nes, playstation 1, psone, saturn, dreamcast x2, playstation 2 x2 (one being for spare parts), ps2 slim, xbox x2 (one dont play disk anymore but has over 1000 emulators built in), psp 2000, gamboy advance, xbox 360, wii and pc. Still gotta pick up a master system, nes, sg1000, gameboy, game gear, ps3, 3do, virtualboy, pippin etc. Had some of these but stupidly sold em years ago. Though I have a shat internet connection I still like to have a whack at games like team fortress 2 and post apocalytic mayhem so if anyone here plays them and see's hazmatt in the server, I do apologize if my player starts randomly appearing in different spots or is seemingly shooting at nothing lol. Anyway thats enough bout me to bore ya's for the next 2 mins. Take it easy all.

Hey my name's Remy from the U.s I'm probably younger than most on here at 21but I've always been obsessed with retro and strange stuff. I'm a die hard arcade lover, 90% of what I play are fighting games or arcade games. The last one that wasn't was dead rising 2 off the record which I really liked but still haven't gotten around to beating lol. I'm always down for some co-op or versus, not much of a single player person with a few exceptions. Not related but I'm also a huge film buff focusing primarily on horror and exploitation films. And I'm an avid fan of horror and science fiction books. I actually just finished the Ruins, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good horror novel. Don't let that garbage movie throw you off, it's a really good book.
Fighting game, side scroller, shmup, and general arcade enthusiast.

Howdy - I'm Pete from the UK

I've hit the grand old age of 30. I balance a job and family, whilst trying to find time for some gaming (Which can be quite thin on the ground these days)

I've grown up with computers, which meant I've played games my whole life. From consoles to PC games (and before):

CGA games: Alleycat, Digger
EGA games: Commander Keen, Wolfenstein
VGA games: Fate of Atlantis, Doom

I found a compilation edition of Retro Gamer in WH Smith about a year ago, since then I started to buy the monthly and then more recently started subscribing.

Hello there - I'm Logan, 36, from the UK. I very nearly bought RG no. 1, then decided I didn't want it enough, and have been regretting that decision ever since - so the reprint is very welcome!

Racing games are my thing: favourites over the years include Pole Position II, 1000 Miglia: Great 1000 Miles Rally and WEC Le Mans in the arcades, Nigel Mansell's World Championship on the Game Boy, and Grand Prix 2, Network Q RAC Rally Championship (the 1997 one) and Grand Prix Legends on the PC. I suppose Paperboy (arcade) is also sort of a racing game, and I was addicted to that for ages. Favourite non-racing games: Head Over Heels and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (both Amstrad PCW!) and Civ II (PC).

My little retro hardware collection runs as follows: BBC B+, Dragon 32, ZX81, Psion Series 5, Amstrad PCW8256, Amstrad NC100, original Game Boy. (Oh, and many years ago, I threw out two working Jupiter Aces just to save space. Argh.) Oddly enough, I've never owned a Spectrum, C64, CPC, Amiga, SNES or Mega Drive.

The only other gaming-related thing I do is to maintain (sort of, when I don't get fed up) what may be the only remaining active(ish) GP2X blog. I prefer the GP2X over its newer siblings, the Caanoo and so on, because I stubbornly prefer AA batteries, and also for the simple reason that none of the others has a port of BeebEm!
