Couple of unsavoury incidents:

Walking past the Co-op in town on the way to getting the bus home, I noticed a crowd had built up. Turns out there was a fight between about half a dozen young black men and one - how can I put it delicately... f*cking racist scumbag c*nt.
There he was, shouting all the old Bernard Manning favourite phrases, unable to grasp due to his tiny unevolved switched-off peanut you'd be generous to call a brain that this was a fight he'd be unable to win. Even the lunkhead's own family were disgusted and tried to prise him away. Finally the inevitable happened, one of the black guys pushed him into the road, where he nearly got hit by the No. 11 to Brymbo. He shat himself and I swear I saw a tear. There was much cheering from the crowd.

Then as I was on the bus, a couple well known in my neck of the woods for their scrounging, sponging ways (think Wayne and Waynetta Slob, but older, fatter, uglier, smellier and without the charm, humour or teeth) tried to get on despite being nowhere near a designated stop.
The husband started giving the driver dog's abuse despite eventually being let on. Thankfully the driver gave as good as she got, and threw them off again at the depot, at least a good mile from their house. I wasn't the only one egging her on to run them over as they started their long walk back (a mile may not seem a lot, but it's almost all uphill and very steep in parts).

Today I feel under pressure at work, want to do well (still working now) but finding it hard to find the 'work life balance' and its making me miserable. I can't hide behind a computer screen at work facing 25 kids 6 lessons a day and while I'm grateful I have a job it doesn't mean I can't feel sh1t every now and again. :?

Having only left school a year and a half ago, I can assure you, a lot of teenagers are absolute cocks.

Spot on pratty, you hit the nail firmly on the head.

Today i picked up the dogs ashes. She came back in a lovely wooden, hand carved casket. surprisingly heavy too. At least she's back home now.

Today we get the results of our reorganisation at work, so I find out if I'm still in IT or if I've been thrown into something I really don't want to do.

On the plus side you finish at 3pm everyday and have about 7 weeks off at summer (RUNS QUICKLY) ;)

Seriously though its difficult finding that balance with work/life, more money sounds great, nicer car/house etc but if you dont spend as much time with your kids/family its not worth it in my view. Other side of the coin if you live in a box and your kids get a carrot and a stick and a hoop every Xmas they wont be too happy either

Things could be worse. My medical advice - take one Jeremy Kyle show, 5 times a week, i promise you after a week you'll be skipping for joy realising things are superb, your wife is beautiful and doesnt have no teeth/greasey hair and that your kids are being brought up well, you have a job and that things could be much much worse !

work and the pressures of it grab us all in that way at least once in our lives. the difference between you and the rest of us is that you're a potential superhero, you are given the daily oppertunity to make a difference in those kids lives!
i censored hated school,it was just another oppertunity for the world to show how inadiquate i was, but i do remember one teacher who actualy got through to me and taught me the one lesson i'll never forget, be myself and focus on what i'm good at rather than worry about the things i don't realy care about anyway!
he helped me get a poem published in 'poetry now', a nation wide school poetry publication (not sure if it still happens) and whenever censored gets a little too much, i always go back to that piece of advice!
teaching sucks and kids can be little shits at times, but if you help just one of those kids succede in whatever it is they go onto being, you're a superstar!

now shut up whining and get your homework done!
