Went to The Lass they had my two fave ales one (North Star and Conway celebration ale)

Also saw there adaptation of Porridge.

It was very fateful to the original only slightly modernised

Today as in after the sleep.

Looks like the past four weeks where a waste of my time.
They really didn't want the best guy for the job did they, hope they like there chavy staff that are probably nicking stuff from the store anyway.
Hope they like there other staff members "Dont want to be here" mood.
Total waste of four sodding weeks

Well, I applaud your efforts for having a go.. But, something's not going right, your perception of your efforts and what you see as a lack of effort in others is apparently not what management see for whatever reason.

I say I am suited to retail and probably am more qualified than those in charge.
I know I helped out more customers than most the staff did (£100 sale in one day?), if they don't want someone that will sell stuff smeg to them.
They are loosing out on someone that will say "Yes" to overtime.

There loss, hope they enjoy having there shop shelves an unorganised mess and a stock room full of over stock that could go out.

Anyway life goes on
I did hate the "music" they had on all day, it would probably drive me insane (did offer to get some more unlicensed music for them to play, but they said it has to come from head office)

Well, today i have manflu and i discovered that if you attempt to ride through the back of a transit van when they're stationary.....this happens:

True. That damage was caused by my specs, not the glass in the van window. I'm amazed at how easily it shattered!

Yeah, it could be your attitude towards others (obviously you don't see it that way) or even your appearance.

I didn't mean appearance as in uniform but physical appearance.
People look at you, how you look, your face/hair way you walk/interact with others and form
an instant opinion on you. An opinion which might be completely wrong but it can be hard to change.

Example - tattoo parlor in my town, the guy who runs it looks f'kin mental.
Face/neck covered in tattoos - he's actually very well spoken and an extremely nice person.

I'd guess if he went for another job he'd struggle.

Anyone with tats had to cover them (dont have any).

Customers found me approachable more so than the other staff. (case and point one walked past some other staff to come to me to ask for help)
I can be intimating if I want.
Hair was combed and tied back.
I even got on with the managers with joking and that (he was a rugby fan and didnt much like football, so its a point for me)

The transit van i stuck my head through had the window replaced today. It cost me £185 to bust my face up.....

That was an expensive lapse of attention.

On the plus side, i'm healing nicely and i can move my neck properly now (once i've popped a co-codomol or two.)

Cheers, and its a definite goer too. I have my induction on Monday and then begin on nights, 9.00-6.00. Then its afternoons, 1.30-9.00. Then mornings, 6.00-1.30. All at £14.04 per hour. Hopefully I will get plenty of overtime opportunities too. And I am praying my back holds up to the task.....
